Good soup! A great choice for tofu lover and Korean style soup. Very affordable and easy to order either for a small group or a big group.
A different style of Korean food! Comes as a hot stone bowl of rice along with a bubbling hot stone bowl of stew of your choosing, into which you are supposed to crack the provided raw egg. Mix the sauce with the rice and enjoy! There are side dishes to munch as appetizers and between bites.

I had time before my client meeting to have a quick lunch at Buk Chang Dong Soon Tofu. The restaurant was about half full, with seating to accommodate about 50 people.
The menu is not large. There are 9 items, 6 of which are Soon Tofu, which I think is tofu stew. I picked the Combination Soon Tofu (Beef, Shrimp, Mussel). Shredded beef, one whole shrimp (including head and shell), one mussel, and lots of tofu in a tasty broth. I asked for mild spice, which still had a little kick to it. The meal came with with a “Hot Stone pot Rice” as well as several Korean table condiments and hot tea.
A very filling and satisfying lunch.
I have been here with my friends, lovely restaurant. Always busy place during summer time you can see the line outside also. Definitely I will go again.
I met a friend here for lunch on Friday because he wanted to try Bibimbap ($12) for the first time. He wasn't disappointed. I watched him dive in and enjoy! For me, I had the Kimchi Soon Tofu ($8) ordered "regular spicy." This bubbly soup was delicious and with the rice made for a hearty meal. Our apps were good and I ordered some extra kimchi (can't get enough, lol). A very tasty meal.
This place is great simple traditional fast! If your looking for a great priced Korean restaurant this is a good place! The service was quick and the food was tasty! Side dishes were great too but menu was limited but had all the traditional dishes! This place is pretty bomb check it out!

We landed at Buk Chang Dong Soon Tofu, a late-night Korean comfort food spot that I had never bothered to venture towards in North York because, well, there are far better non-franchise options. As a result of this unfamiliarity, I failed to become aware of the restaurant’s super condensed menu until being seated. Soondae, tteokbokki, and jjajangmyeon weren’t available, nor were any light dishes to be spotted.
It was solely a menu of satiating soups and rice bowl combos.

I ended up taking the remainder of my untouched meal home, then later consuming it in two separate meals (Yes, it was that big). North York’s Soon Tofu won’t be on my to-go list anytime soon, though I’d recommend the establishment should you ever be in a dinnertime situation where famine hits hard following shopping or karaoke activities. (Be aware that their washrooms are located at the foot of a very steep staircase.)

Visited a Korean restaurant for the first time and had a nice experience. The starters had sprouted varieties and were tasty. As for the main course Veggie tofu meal was delicious and heavy. Nice experience of entirely a new cuisine.
Nice local Korean soft tofu place. It's been around for many years. Good value and quality. One of my primary options in the area whenever I have that hot soupy craving.
