Not very good anymore. We use to eat here or get take out regularly but the quality of the food has gone way down. Don’t order the chilli chicken as it costs $12 and the container is half filled with sauce and 10 pieces of small shrimp. I could buy a whole pack of frozen shrimp for less than $12! We also ordered beef with bamboo and mushroom ... the ingredients look as if they come straight from a can. Their vegetable fried rice had no trace of egg... a staple in fried rice. It basically looked like cooked rice and chopped up broccoli, not very good. AVOID these items. I recommend going to Frederick’s as I can attest to their recent quality of food being way better than Lin Garden.
I came here with extremely high expectations. Everyone I know that's eaten at Lin Garden raves about their food, so I had to try it. I really enjoyed their Chicken Corn Soup and Chilli Chicken. Portion sizes are an insane value. Dinner time was busy and although the service was a little odd, it wasn't bad. The owners are extremely kind and seem to have a genuine reputation amongst the Muslim community. I've only eaten at a few Hakka Chinese restaurants so I'm excited to try a few more before returning to Lin Garden.
I've never in my life tasted food like this I loved it !!! It's always a place to come when ever I'm on Toronto bring this food to Alberta you will make $$$ id come there all the time ☺️
Straight up, I've had Lin countless times, for the amount of food you get, it's super cheap and it's delicious. The only downside to this food is that it's very greasy but I mean, if you don't care about that it's unreal. Standard items which are amazing are:

Love the "Toad guy" @the front desk who watches your every move..he just loves to watch you eat :s ..the food is decent but not consistent..the price is really expensive..hence only 4/5 stars
Absolutely love this place. My family and I have been ordering from this restaurant for years. I highly recommend the chilli chicken, beef and broccoli, and sweet and sour chicken balls!!
I've been going to Lin Garden for years and years. Yes the taste and quality has deteriorated over the years. We were also concerned about the place being truly halal after hearing a lot of things. When we asked the owner he claimed those rumors were spread around my competitors.
Food is pretty decent. It's a hit and miss- one day you go the food will be great and the other it will be down right disgusting! Their munchurian chicken is what still convinces me to go back

If you like it Spicy. This is one of my favourite Hakka restaurants. I’ve been coming here for lunch and take out (10% off for pickup) for many years. Hakka cuisine is basically Chinese food with spicy Indian flavours often called Indo-Chinese food.
There is free parking in front and back. The décor and service are nothing special but the food is what you come for. It really is good.
I usually order;
chili chicken - cut up boneless chicken pieces deep fried? and then cooked in a soya sauce? with green chili and onion.
house shrimp – large shrimp with a light dusting of flower deep fried and finished with chili flake and garlic.
house green beans – salty and a bit greasy also finished with chili flake and garlic.
shrimp pakora – cut up shrimp with green chili and curry formed into a ball and deep fried.
hakka noodles – slightly greasy noodles with shrimp.

They used to give free white rice but have been charging for it the past few years, so that's a drag especially when ordering $65 worth of food. It's one of the reasons we don't come here more often. It's just gotten too expensive.
They include a free small cabbage salad and fiery hot red chili sauce that I put on everything and pickled spicy green chili’s that I also use. These sauces are quite hot and not for everyone but they really make the meal for me.

Rudest owners ever. Food good.......service DISGUSTING , the guy gave me the wrong order and proceeded to scream at me on the phone when I called back to complain, even tho he knows i was a long time customer. i refuse to spend another penny in that place
