Zane Patisserie & Boulangerie is a lovely bright French bakery on Queen just west of Woodbine with tasty sweets and savouries such as the pictured Croissants, Danishes, Quiches, Sandwiches and a full range of richly decorated cakes as well as breads. There is a small space to enjoy the eat-in items inside as well as a lovely patio. The busy staff are efficient and helpful.

People of the Beach you do not have to drink The Evil Starbucks. Zane's is the real French deal. Treat yourself to a bit of Paris in the East end of Toronto.

Best croissant in the city. Brilliant Danishes and AMAZING cakes. My wife is from France her Mom visited and said the croissant is the best she ever had. Try it!

Delightful. Lovely patisserie. Best danish I have ever had. I recommend the blueberry. Very good coffee and nice croissants too.

Little Pleasures. Don't count of having a meal there since the only savoury treats are overprices quiches. But the croissants were light and fluffy and the berry tart was was, well, tart and not too sweet--just how I like it! Good cappuccino is real mugs for those who stay. Lovely patio drowning in flowers.

Tremendous Flavour. Delicious - this is what a cheese sandwich should taste like. My wife was meeting friends at the Starbucks next door. I wanted to get out of her hair so I dropped into Zanes - they have a patio and it looked nice enough.

There was a small case with some pre-made croissant sandwiches with cheese and rosemary ham: wow. Normally I can be a snob about pre-made anything but this was freshness and sandwich perfection.

THey only make this one kind of sandwich - I think anyway. But - it was so good that 7 days later I trekked my wife across town (from High Park) to have another.

The sandwich: the coffee: and then the pastry. Top notch pastry - fresh and perfect. Vanilla cream, blueberry and sweetness.

Best in the Beach (maybe city). I've been going to Zane's since it opened and I have always experienced wonderful pastries, breads and coffees. I cannot get enough. Don't miss this place.
