Go here very often to the point where the staff calls us out by name. The recognition they have for their customers is heartwarming and great. Food is exquisite and the price is not too bad, and their congee is so delicious. Love the service and the atmosphere, even though their wait-times can get annoying at times. Other than that it's amazing
I ordered the Shredded Pork (with Spicy Peking Sauce) in a Noodle Soup ($6) and it was pretty good. I was still a bit hungry afterwards so I filled up on a side order of veggies w/ oyster sauce ($5). Service was quick and pleasant. I'd go back!
Good place for comfort food. The menu is similar to confee queen. We ordered turnip patties, veggies and beef noodles. Everything came quickly and sizzling hot. Service was also quick when we needed it.
Can't really go wrong at any of the congee Wongs. The food is comforting, filling, tasty, and reasonably priced.
Can get busy during peak hours, so RSVP if you can!

One of the best places to eat IMO. Alright, where to start? I can say with complete confidence that 99% of this review will be positive; and rightfully so for a such a positive atmosphere that this restaurant gives off.
What I like most about this place besides the food if the fact that they have "booths" on both sides of the restaurant which make for a nice relaxing meal away from home. The atmosphere is very very friendly (I cannot stress this enough) and the decor is a light orange which lightens up the mood. Either get here early before lunch or late after dinner because this place fills up in a heartbeat. Wait times can be frustrating so plan accordingly.
The food is AMAZING, even more so when you look at the prices. When you expect for the food to be portioned for just one person, you get a big surprise when they bring it to you; literally. The portions there are big enough to serve, two, maybe even 3 people. If you go try the E20.
Everything you've come to expect from a Chinese restaurant all lies inside this Congee Wong.
The only thing I would have to say negatively about this place is that even though there are lines, the place is small for the amount of happy customers that keep coming back for more, including me. All that said, this will continue to be my favourite Chinese restaurant in all of the Greater Toronto Area.

Choice Cantonese cuisine on the cheap. Its name doesn't do the menu justice. Congee is just one of many menu items that CW does well. Run by Acky and his staff, this is definitely the best location in the GTA. You'll find knock-offs all around town (Congee Star, Congee Time, etc.) but nothing compares with CW at Finch & Leslie. There's a reason why there are line-ups here year-round. You're with a group of friends, you want excellent Chinese food for lunch/dinner, leave filled and pay less than $10 per person? CW is your restaurant. Crowds of Chinese people is evidence that the food is authentic here (i.e. Those of you looking for egg foo yoong, chop suey or chicken balls need not visit.) You can't go wrong with the menu, but here are some go-to items: H6 Seafood with Dry Garlic Fish Roe Fried Rice, A5 Supreme Super Bowl Congee, E13 Curry Pad Thai with Chicken & Shrimp, L3 Satay Beef & Chicken with Rice in Hot Pot, P41 Spice & Pepper Salt Squid, P47 Fried Chilli Turnip Patties, K2 Beef & Dough Fritter Rice Noodle Roll, M4 House Special Dessert.
Great comfort food. The folks here take congee - the basic rice preparation - something we ate growing up because we had to and turn it into exciting cuisine.

So awesome. Best place for authentic, cheap and good basic chinese food. This location is better than the one in markham.
Fast, Cheap, Packed. There are a lot of Congee Wong's around Toronto -- and other pretenders besides. This prototypical congee resto is always packed, and is consistently cheap & passable, if somewhat oily.
