Located in the heart of Yorkville is ZAZA Espresso Bar, a cafe so authentically Italian that you feel as if you've been transported across the ocean once you've stepped in. The atmosphere is upbeat and optimistic, characterized by the shop's vibrant red walls.
Place is pretty small but at great location. You can sit outside at patio for hours and enjoy crowd walking around and watch amazing cars .. We ordered Mocha &Iced latte..which was not very great but decent.. but gelato is what this place is famous for!
Best Espresso and awesome authentic service! go check these guys out! The team their are old school and they have some tasty Gelato! this is a good hangout spot in Yorkville.
The first amazing cup of coffee that I've had in two months, since I've been in Toronto.
In a land full of Starbucks and Tim Hortons, Zaza is such an authentic coffee shop with the with the smells and sounds of a coffee machine.
It gets a bit loud with the barista/owner, screaming Italian to passer-Byers(good friends) for a quick chat. I don't mind it, it's entertaining to see and can only imagine how a real coffee shop in Italy would be. It only adds to the character of the shop!
This place has the BEST coffee. It is run by a hilarious Italian man. I ordered the mocha and it was the best I ever tasted. The gelato at that place has a steep price ($4.50 for a small) but it comes in traditional flavors which are delicious. I recommend the stratchiatella. It tastes just like the gelato they sell in Italy.
I would give Zaza 10 stars if I could. Coffee does not get better than this. The place is small (not ideal for large groups), but makes up for it in charm with a very fun environment. The owner is from Naples, and the baristas are all Italian (at least the ones I've met). They are also extremely friendly with women 😉 oh those Italians...
Such a cute, authentic Italian coffee shop! The gelato reminds me of being back in Italy and the coffee is always to perfection! Great place to meet with friends and chat up or just grab a coffee!

Amazing authentic Italian coffee! Fun place to hang out, specially during a nice sunny day. It feels like being back in Italy. Raffaele is a great barista, attentive and fun. Don't forget to try their amaretto ice during summer (even better when affogato with a double shot of espresso).
Nice alternative to franchises. I agree with the previous reviews. The service is very good and the decaf Americano was perfect. Very nice option instead of my default choice ... Starbuck's. Also much better all around than Letteri which is across the street.
