Very cute little place. We came here for a friends birthday and were seated in a private dining area. You can't go wrong with any of the items on their menu, especially their delicious homemade pasta!
Fantastic menu. I could quite easily order anything off the menu and be astounded. This place has been around for a long time and is truly a hidden gem.
Attending a meeting downtown was a perfect excuse for a lunch escape. Hello Mangia & Bevi. I told the owner that I found the place by accident. He says: "There are no accidents." He is correct. I did my little research before and Mangia & Bevi was just how I pictured/imagined it. It's a relaxed but busy place with the genuine italian signature. Being right next to the kitchen, I could see that the items served were a good balance between mainly pizzas and pasta dishes.
I had the Pizza Peculiare, the special of the day. It included mozarella, niagara salami, olives, and was topped with fresh greens as well as ricotta. Ricotta was a good addition to balance out the salty items. Of course an adult beverage was a necessity.
To top it off, I enjoyed the coolish bacetti, which is a lovely gelato bite covered by a thin coat of chocolate. They had different flavors and I stuck to the mocha flavor. It was too good and small that I ate it before taking a pic :)
It's a nice hideaway to keep in mind. It's one of those places where you have people from all kinds of professions, walks of life etc stop by. There were regulars which is what a good community hangout ought to be. Glad that I discovered it.
