Absolutely amazing food, amazing portions and amazing servers. The hospitality was extremely warm and welcoming. Each dish was loaded with meat. Everything tasted delicious. It was worth every penny. Will be visiting the place a lot more often.
Chicken chilli is the best and no place better than yueh tung to try that.
With a good hot plate of shirmp fried rice, some beef crispy, roasted pork, the sake shots. Well i had to skip the desert. This place was amazing. One of the best food i have had in toronto. Really fresh, tasty, relishing! Yueh tung is a must try!
This place is amazing!! Yesterday, March 20, 2018, I and my boyfriend were traveling through Toronto and made a stop for some quick lunch.
They offered tea as soon as you are seated, the meals were prepared quickly and tasted delicious! Very friendly service and our hostess was so polite and friendly :)
Definitely recommend to all who come to this area and definitely will be stopping by again! 🤗
Loved the food here. Chilly chicken , chicken Manchurian, chicken egg foo Yong were amazing. Lot of rush , may take time for order to get delivered but worth the wait. Great place for Hakka chinese.expansive menu
A spacious restaurant with a nice interior and friendly quick service will make Hakka Chinese food lovers want to come back to YT.
The food is tasty and the complimentary green tea is well matched.
The Cantonese fried rice had a wonderful aroma and the perfect Hakka Chinese flavour which could have been eaten plain. We also ordered the sweet and sour pork which was cooked perfectly and the pork was perfectly deep fried yet juicy and tender. However the sauce was a bit too sweet for my liking but tasty.
Would I go back? Definitely
I've been here a couple times after hearing they had great lunch special deals.
And indeed, for $8 you get a massive plate of food.
You walk up a flight of stairs (or take an elevator?) and you'll find yourself facing a huge room.
Someone will greet you eventually.
The place can get busy during lunch rush, and if you're coming in a small group (say, 2 or 3) you might be seated at a large round table with other small groups. But this isn't unusual; lots of chinese places do it. Of course, they will ask you whether you are willing to sit with strangers or continue to wait. Choice is good right?
Lunch menu comes with plenty of options that should satisfy most tastes or needs: lots of chicken, beef, pork, seafood, and vegetable dishes to choose from. There are spicy options and non-spicy options. You don't necessarily have to order off the lunch menu either; if you need some wonton soup or whatever just let them know and they'll make it for you.
Lunch specials come in a huge plate with rice covering half the plate and meat covering the other half. It's quite a generous portion of meat.
One thing to note is they tend to drench your dish in sauce, but you can ask for less or no sauce if you want more crunch on your meat.
The food is pretty average to me, but it tastes good and there's plenty of it so what's there to complain about? Perhaps lack of vegetables in a lot of the meat dishes, but if you're getting more meat in exchange for vegetables, not a problem, I can just bring my own bok choy.
Eveything tastes fine and hot...just a lil expensive for me........otherwise its all good. Gives a good amount of meat so no skimpy..otherwise if a lil cheaper wud give 5
One of the best Chinese restaurants in downtown. I simply fell in love with the flavours of the Vegetable Mapo Tofu. Extremely busy during lunch hours but good service. The place to visit for a sumptuous Chinese meal.
My department had an impromptu lunch at this Hakka restaurant close to city hall. We had to make a 11:30am reservation for a party of 14. They had done some renovations to the inside to make it a more desirable dining destination. Their lunch menu ($7.50-$8.99) consists of mostly Chinese rice dishes with some Hakka items thrown in. My table mostly ordered the Manchurian Chicken, Beef with Broccoli, Vegetable Fried Rice, and Chicken Cashews. I ordered their Shrimp with Lobster sauce. The shrimps were very tasty and lobster (black bean sauce with egg) sauce was outstanding. The waiter did rush us to place our order and ask for the bill. He was a bit of a nuisance but there were a lot of people waiting outside for a table. We just enjoyed his service on a humorous level.
Homely and Delicious. One of my favourite places to eat. I always get their Chilli Chicken, either on rice or fried noodle. I've been there countless times, and the waiters/waitresses are very accommodating.
