This a place you must experience! It's a very interactive cafe - creating the food is a decadent experience! You must try the American Hot Chocolate (Milk Chocolate)!

Awesome place for get togethers. Relaxing atmosphere and excellent customer service. Our food was delayed, so during our wait time, the waiter offered us hot chocolate on the house

This Cacao 70 is located in the popular distillery District. It has a fairly decent seating area with large windows brining in lots of natural light. The kitchen is an open space so you can see everything happening there.

The servers were poliet and paid attention to detail.

Unfortunately this was the first time I got something from the savory menu and I was dissapointed. I got the Chicken Waffle Sandwich and it was just dry and bland. It's roughly around $13-$14 and comes with no sides.

I'll stick to the sweet menu going forward. The fondue platter is tasty. It comes with fruits, brownies and waffles.

Matcha chocolate fondue was amazing.

Gluten free breakfast crepe was yummy and large enough for two.

Service friendly. Atmosphere nice.

Will definitely return.

Despite entering the premises during off-peak hours on a weekday afternoon, majority of the floor was filled with customers of all ages embracing the holiday spirit. There was a minimal wait for a two-person table, though I noticed that table turnover rates were relatively consistent for parties of various sizes.

...

Service was friendly and prompt, but it was evident that customers would not be permitted to lounge about after devouring their ordered items. Given the high traffic load of the area, this was not an unreasonable request. (Though, I did find it odd that Wi-Fi was provided for an establishment that prohibited dawdling.)

Chocolatey heaven. Everything has a great touch of chocolate. The fondue is amazingly paired with fruit and sweets. The milkshakes and the best consistency.

Great place to hang out with friends over some decadent sweets. Service was great! Menu is fairly large so lots of choices. We ordered the Classic Chocolate Fondue. It was nice but didn't blow my mind. I'll have to try a few other items next time before I decide whether or not I'll make this place a regular for me.

Cacao 70 is a Montreal dessert chain that opened up its first location in Toronto a few months ago at the Distillery District. Everything on their menu involves chocolate. While I’ve been to the Cacao 70 in Montreal, I was uber excited when they open one in Toronto. I came here on three separate occasions.

The place was a little busy but N and I didn’t wait too long until our turn. We shared the Choco-Nut Waffle which is a classic waffle topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate drizzle, candied hazelnuts, served with fresh fruits.

There are so many types of hot chocolate on the menu which I definitely have to come back to try! We each received a warm cup of American Style Hot Chocolate (choice of milk, semi-sweet or dark) complimentary for moving tables, which we didn’t mind at all. We both love dark chocolate, so this drink really hit the spot on this cold evening. It was rich, not too sweet, and delicious!

On my next visit, J and I ordered a fondue set, Sweet Chocolate Experience for Two. What really caught my eye was the mini grill for the marshmallow!

Some girls and I were planning a girls brunch date and I suggested Cacao 70 as I wanted to try their brunch menu (available from 10am – 4pm). I was feeling something healthy and ordered the Vegetable Frittata which is like a quiche in a skillet but without the pastry. It came with a side of fresh fruits and of course, chocolate!

My friend H ordered the Illegal Chocolate Waffle. This comes with caramelized bananas, which is the star of this dish. Yummm.

My friends ordered Lazy Breakfast (scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, bacon, potatoes, beans) and the Blue Mushroom Omelette (with onions, mushrooms, spinach, swiss cheese, potatoes). Both served with fresh fruit and melted chocolate!

Every item on the Cacao 70 menu, whether its desserts, drinks or brunch comes with some form of chocolate. You can also order chocolate that originates from different parts of the world. Overall, it is a great place to hang out and chat with friends. You can count on this place to satisfy your sweet tooth and chocolate cravings!

We were so full after dinner at the distillery around the corner, but couldn't leave the distillery without sampling the cacao-70 chocolates...after reading the online reviews I had a very strong desire to visit this place! It did not disappoint. I had a cappuccino, which was very good, my friend had some espresso with ice-cream which she loved, we also shared a chocolate brownie with ice-cream thing...it was REALLY good; I definitely want to come back to sample more stuff! The menu is very enticing. (My friend had the cheesecake which wasn't too special)

Cacao70 is a diabetic’s worst nightmare and a chocolate lover’s wet dream. An establishment devoted to cacao confections like fondue, crepes, hot chocolate, etc., the Montreal-based chain opened in the Distillery during the annual Christmas market, so naturally I avoided it like the plague until things settled down in the new year. My friend Kara and I met up last week to give the new choc-spot a try.

Cacao 70 is a popular chocolate cafe franchise from Montreal. They recently opened in the space that temporarily housed Balzac's Coffee Roasters earlier this November. The timing couldn't have been more perfect as the cafe's launch coincided with the popular annual Toronto Christmas Market at the Distillery District during the holiday season. I was invited to Cacao 70 Distillery to try a few items on their menu, and I didn't hesitate, as I have a major sweet tooth. This was actually my dinner that Thursday night (chocolate dinner FTW). Cacao 70 Distillery's space was bright with an open kitchen concept, so you could see the kitchen staff make the chocolate dishes. Open for brunch (weekend), lunch, and dinner; I would say that it's the perfect spot if you love sweets, and chocolates.

While perusing the menu, I realized just how extensive their premium chocolate offering was. They have a great chocolate collection consisting of chocolates from worldwide ($9.75 each) consisting of various cacao content. I opted for the 66% Mexico - complex aromas of subtle taste and with a long lasting taste which reveals warm, woody, spicy and tobacco flavors. Each hot chocolate arrives in a metal mug of regular hot chocolate, and a cognac glass containing the respective premium chocolate, and rimmed with the chocolate as well. You have to mix the liquid content with the melted chocolate to make your preferred hot chocolate mixture.

I started off with the Nutella and Fruit Crêpe ($11) - a thin French crepe with Nutella and fruits (choice of strawberries, bananas or raspberries) drizzled with chocolate sauce. Strawberries, and chocolate hazelnut spread are the perfect combination when it comes to sweet crêpes.

This place is amazing for all of you chocolate lovers! They have a great selections of chocolate (white, dark, milk, mix, etc.) and you can customize your drinks or order according to your preference. The portion size is pretty generous and it is recommended to order the sharing plate. The chocolate fondue is one of their signature dish that I highly recommend. If it's your first time, I would suggest Cacao 70 Signature Hot Chocolate. It's almost double the price of the regular hot chocolate, but it is served on a cool glassware glazed with chocolate, and you get to mix the drink yourself. The service was great even though it was very busy in the evening and there were a long lines. Despite that, the staffs were able to deliver excellent service and get our order quickly. This place is great for all occasion, whether it is a date, hangout with friends, or for family. It is, after all, very cozy and has a good vibes.

I went here on Monday with my boyfriend for our date. It was so cold that day so we decided to go inside this place to warm us up and eat before we continued strolling around the city. The place is so spacious and neat! We had a meat lover omelette meal, mini fruits + chocolate dip, and hot chocolate. Everything was so good! We enjoyed and had a great time. The employees are so friendly as well. The experience was 10/10, definitely recommend to come by this place and get your sweet addiction on!

One of the many fun spots to hit up in the Distillery district. We stopped in to get out of the cold and this was a very fun way to warm up. Tried the Cacao Blast (milk chocolate), the Cacao 70 Factory Hot Chocolate (dark chocolate) and 2 churro donuts - the coffee and the chocolate peanut butter. The photos probably won't go justice to how good the experience is. For those that love chocolate, this place is an absolute must!

Chocolate lovers, save some space after your food for desserts, and head directly to this place please. This place offers varieties of desserts made with different types of chocolates, that you get confused and a little excited at the same time. The staffs were so friendly to us. We almost made it 15 mins before the closing time, and we had an amazing time. You could see chocolate fondue being mentioned in most of the reviews, and it's totally worth it. I wish I could go to this place everyday after dinner 🤠

A must-go place for all the chocolate lovers in Toronto. Their shareable plate for two was jaw dropping and so yummy; it was so fun roasting marshmallows and dip fruits in chocolate!! Lots of indoor & outdoor seats available.

Cacao 70 always has something to satisfy a sweet tooth properly! If you want something light or heavy, drinks for chocolate tastes in cold or hot or just a nice cup of tea with your dessert, this is the spot. The staff are very accommodating and helpful with selecting items. We had a table full of picky eaters and everyone was satisfied with what we ordered. If you are in the distillery and craving desserts, especially chocolate (who isn't?!?) I highly recommend stopping by!

really quick service and friendly staff. there's huge variety of dessert options so this definitely would be suitable for large groups that want something different. the choco-nut waffle came with fresh fruits, ice cream and chocolate to drizzle on top. overall, really tasty and great for splitting. it's a bit pricey however, definitely worth to go for the dine-in experience.

The Choco-nut waffle is my favourite here. I love the strawberries with the melted chocolate. I took hubby’s white chocolate serving and drizzled over my strawberries 😍🤤The waitress told us that for a group of 6 and above gratuity of 18% applies automatically 🤷🏾‍♀️
