This is a tapas style restaurant. They describe themselves as American Asian fusion cuisine. The fusion part comes from the way they present the dishes rather than the ingredient. I can describe the dishes as presented in Japanese style. Everything was exquisitely presented. The sea bream was presented as paper thin slices. The Wagu beef was presented as 1mm thin in raw and topped with carefully selected toppings. Overall atmosphere was eclectic. Service was top notch. The only improvement could be the dishes should be paced out a little more. We felt a little rushed when the food came too quickly.
Our first time here. Last Sunday for their set menu at $35 pp. it was worth it. Very full in the end. Dessert had two options and we went with the banana bread one. Servers were very nice and waited for us to finish everything before taking the plates away. Would recommend this place.
Everything was amazing. Went on a night with the set menu. Very affordable and everything we ate was delicious. Starter salad, 3 proteins, 3 vegetables and dessert, awesome from start to finish. And I was really happy to see Blood Brothers on tap. Also really cool atmosphere. Solid design/layout and I like that the chefs are out in the open. Live music was a really great bonus to the whole night. Easily lived up to my expectations, you really can't go wrong with anything tied to the Food Dudes group.
Great adventure for your senses. The menu consists of a variety of tapas based on a Southwest US menu, the tapas a visually beautiful and a sensation for the taste buds.
My husband and I love this place. It's decently priced, has a great quality of food and the service is wonderful. The dishes are on a more oily/fatty side, but it's because many of the menu items are fried or grilled. If you don't mind slightly greasy food, than you're going to love it. It's perfect for cooler, Fall weekends when you're craving some hearty, comfort food.
My husband and I visited Omaw this evening for dinner and it was frankly one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. The space, the people, the music, the atmosphere, the food. Amazing.
We enjoyed the hush puppies, chicken, steak, and key lime pie.. All perfect in their preparation and accompaniment.
We sat at the bar, which is where the kitchen is and we had the pleasure of watching all of their amazing meals being prepared. We loved that extra!
You should absolutely visit!
The restaurant has a great vibe, and the staff are friendly, helpful, and cool. The food was innovative taking old food types like rutabaga and making them new and exciting. The mussels were the best I've ever had. So many restaurants are expensive and pretentious yet the food is only ok. At Omaw, the experience is great and you savour every bite.
