The vibe inside is absolutely amazing. It somehow has a homey vibe, but still feels like a busy bar. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say the atmosphere here is my favourite in all of Toronto. The food on the other hand, soso yummy. Everything tastes authentic— no cheap flavours whatsoever. Staff are very nice + orders come out quick. Wouldn’t mind coming here for back-to-back meals! :)
This Japanese bar is good!!! The food, atmosphere, and service was great! I really enjoyed the Japanese style fried chicken and their sashimi!!
The restaurant looks super clean and cozy. And all the costumers seem very chill there. There’s only one thing that I was a little bit concerned was the price of food and beer, other than that everything was perfectly good!
Overall, it was a great experience for celebrating a birthday. Booking a reservation was also an easy and straightforward process online, though I wasn't the biggest fan of the 90-minute seating limit (while I understand well why it is in place).
The atmosphere and decor inside was very cozy and casual. The food was a bit expensive in comparison to portion size, but the overall quality of the dishes was satiating. I loved how spicy the takowasa was! Wasn't a fan of the amount of nori given – wish there was a few more pieces offered. I really enjoyed the scallop tataki roll and spider roll; the fish was very fresh, and the ingredients were well balanced.
Ordered a variety of skewers; loved all the ones with mochi (rice cakes), the pork belly(?), and the chicken skin. I thought the rest were a bit on the salty side, so it wasn't the biggest highlight for me.
For dessert, we got this mochi with honey, and it was literally plain mochi with honey. I'd always wanted to try this, so I enjoyed it.
Wasn't a fan of the 90-minute seating limit as some of the food took quite a bit of time to be prepared and served, so there was a period of downtime and then rushing to finish once it arrived, as we wanted to respect the time limit.
