Specular night for small get together for 50th birthday. Delicious food from appetizer to dessert. Every dish was perfection. Grilled octopus, smoked salmon, calamari, oysters wow! Mixed seafood grill of shrimp, scallops and salmon. Topped off with latte and moist fudge cake. Loved the interior, tastefully decorated. Fab service. Whole night was a 10+!
Although I did not pay, I find the price is expensive for me. That is why I am very grateful for my friend Phoebe for treating me for my birthday. However, the food is fresh and delicious. The service was great and friendly, not solicitous. This is a place bring someone you are trying to to impress. Overall, it is a great place. I highly recommend it.
love this place! in the summer there is a nice patio and the seafood is super fresh. You really do get what you pay for, so not cheap but excellent quality. I was craving oysters so I went with my husband but wasn't sure which oysters to order and the lovely lady at the counter gave me a lesson on oysters and shucked a bunch for me to try for free so I could make the right choice, now that is what I call service. If you are looking to buy seafood their store is right behind the restaurant, super convenient. definitely a Scarborough gem.
The quality of food and friendliness of the staff is excellent. We ordered oysters and clams to start, of which I enjoyed the oysters, however could not stomach the clams, as it was my first experience with uncooked clams and though the clams were fresh, the texture was much too "decadent" for me. We also ordered mussels and scallops which were cooked perfectly. Lastly the lobster roll, also the only negative thing i have to say, but only because I don't enjoy the combination of seafood and mayonnaise. Overall a wonderful lunch and would definitely recommend.
Two words: Amazing Seafood. Ordered oysters , crab cakes , bouillabaisse. All were delicious. Warning with excellent quality seafood comes a $$$ bill.
Fantastic restaurant!!! Fortunately it was quiet when we came here and I didn't have to make a fool of myself in front of a bunch of tables of people when my lobster ended up all over the table. It was my first time having lobster and it was AMAZING! Greatly enjoyed the dish, which my party all shared. I also got the fish and chips buy only managed to eat a few bites, I was so full from the lobster, but those few bites were sensational! House fries aren't great though... just chunks of potatoe. .. but everything else was simply spectacular and I can see why this is a hot spot :D Very highly recommended!
If you love seafood then you will love Diana's seafood restaurant.
Where else can you get the freshest seafood ever???? You can oysters, cod, and even their lobster roll was the best!
Just had their rare tuna salad and it was very tasty. The tune just melts in your mouth as you eat it.
A must visit if you're a seafood addict.
Good place. Oysters where really good. Everyone enjoyed their meals but it's expensive for what you get. We didn't have reservations bit the accommodated us.
Had a craving for seafood and some of the seafood joints by our house were closed (Easter Sunday). We did a search and came accross this place. So worth the drive to Scarborough. Wow. Every single dish from the apps to the dessert was stellar. Oysters were fresh, clam chowder was complex with richness, but not overly creamy. Crab cakes not over cooked and seasoned to perfection. The seafood pasta had generous portions of shrimp and lobster claw, and our server split the dish in anticipation of us sharing. Also, the best homemade cheesecake in town, gave the Cheesecake Factory a run for their money. The best part about coming here in addition to the food was our server Jaco. Thank you for making this experience as great as it was and for the honest recommendations, you did not steer us wrong.
I went to Diana's Oyster Bar and Grill for my mother's birthday. The restaurant was pretty busy for a Tuesday night. We came for the oysters because we heard they specialized in having many different types. Unfortunately the special was only on Monday AND Thursday, otherwise it was a la carte. We ordered the grilled calamari, marinara mussels, and I ordered the Seafood Mixed Grill. The appetizers were really good. The grilled calamari had avocado and tomato which were flavoured really well and added a fresh component to the dish. The marinara mussels had a good broth and the tomatoes were good. The bread we received was warm and tasted good as well. The main courses took really long to come out for some reason and when I got it my salmon was dry. The scallops and shrimp were good though, even though there were only two scallops. Overall, I thought the restaurant was good, but it depends on what you order. Very pricey, but that's the cost for seafood. Would probably go back to try the oysters when they are on special and the lobster tagliatelle.
alentejo-style pork and clams, prosciutto wrapped longline ling cod, octopus and chorizo - this upscale dianas seafood menu peppered woth fresh , hq ingredients tantalizes, with each offering more decadent than the last. even more enticing are the otsters - think cherrywoods smoked oyaters or fresh chucked bivalves, served with taittinger champange for an all- around gourmet wxperience.
Haphazard service, delicious food. Very slow start as we were missed by servers; then had a switch up to another server with no explanation, then were dropped also with no explanation. Our servers were lovely and pleasant when they were around; a neighbouring table wasn't so lucky. Overheard the server tell the elderly party they didn't make crantinis, with a surly silence and no suggestion of something else that would please them. Food absolutely delicious, though, if pretty pricey. Great selection of oysters!
