Loved everything, the service the place the coffee and the food
Sud Forno is a pretty solid Italian restaurant close to the Eaton Center. The drinks were tasty, a little expensive. I think that the quality of the pizza is very good for the price. The atmosphere is nice. They have a downstairs area with a grab and go section and coffee, whereas upstairs is more formal dining. They gave complimentary home made sourdough with olive oil which was nice. The biggest lacking was the service. Our waitress didn’t come to check how our food was, and after almost 20 minutes of us being finished, a different waitress came over to package our food for us. The other tables seemed to turn over at a pretty normal rate, so we may have just gotten unlucky.
Weekend gateway in Downtown Toronto and we made a stop at Sud Forno for some dessert. I like the location on young street, it was close to the centre Attraction. The Interior of the restaurant was beautifully designed. Great place to bring a date or for a special occasion. The coffee was good, I ordered a tiramisu which was really yummy, brownie which was on the hard dry side.
I will be going back to have lunch or dinner here.
This restaurant is pricey, but Worth visiting.
It’s a very cozy place to have some food/salad/dessert at any time of the day. I really like the atmosphere here. However, I was a bit disappointed when I saw my latte. My coffee latte didn’t have any latte art, and it just like pour the hot milk into the espresso…..sad.
The little chocolate stuffed powder donuts are amazing, they’re a must ! Pizza was good, nothing outstanding. It’s a nice spot for a quick lunch if you work or stay in the neighbourhood.
One of the few spots you can order a coffee after dinner. Most coffee shops close around 5pm but we were able to order coffee from the bar at 8:30pm on a Friday night and sit inside. The decor is cozy and warm. And of course, this place also serves lunch and dinner.
Food and drinks were tasty and flavour-full. Good ambience and service.
I felt portion was small for the price. Otherwise it was delicious and server was really helpful.
I came to Sud Forno on a solo date before I went to the opera. To be honest, I’ve never done something like that before, so I was a bit nervous. I’m so glad I chose Sud Forno; the folks working on the Tuesday evening I came were super friendly and my waitress was very attentive and checked in often.
The custom G&T I ordered (Dillon’s with Sicilian lemon mixer and an orange garnish) was SUBLIME. The Gorgonzola gnocchi was so creamy and delicious that I found myself closing my eyes and savouring each bite fully. The mix of the few flavours was brilliant, and I was so impressed that I was also brought bread and oil to accompany the main entrée.
For dessert, I ordered the panna cotta, another mouth-watering dish and the perfect way to end my meal. The cheese was perfection and the sweetness of the jam and berries was the perfect touch.
The bathrooms here, on the upper level, we’re super clean when I used them, as well. Overall, such a great experience and I’ve already told so many of my friends and family, both in Toronto and abroad, that this is the place to visit when they’re downtown.
