We had my husbands birthday party at Boland's Open kitchen and we were very pleased with everything. Staff was friendly and accommodating, thank you Ricardo and Isabella. food delicious and the atmosphere perfect for our party of 24. We will be back for many more dinners and special occasions for sure.

Bella. We had read the mixed reviews and still wanted to give this place a try as so many of our neighbours talked about how great it was. We are so happy we did. Not sure where all the comments on service come from, sounds like old unhappy staff as opposed to clients as we had great service. It was freindly and efficient with no attitude....
The food was great, deserts just ok but our main and appetizers were outstanding.

You owe it to yourself.. You must give yourself this treat. In the restaurant everything and everyone are very welcoming.
The staff and the management, do a really good job in making you and your guest feel welcome. Very attentive to details. Is a casual dining experience with a high degree of service. The prices are very reasonable. You owe yourself to try this restaurant. Make sure that the sommelier plays a game of "Name this wine region and type". We got a round of four wine glasses, thanks to my dear friend Victor; he was the one that got the answers right. Fun!
The Head Chef, Oliver, was the one that describe the dishes; we were seated right on front of him.

OMG! JUST PERFECT!!!!!. Last Tuesday before finish work, I checked the reviews on Urbanspoon about Boland's Open Kitchen, it was not impressing, however my girlfriend and I give it a try to the newer restaurant in the hood! WOW, was fantastic. The price, the service, the size of the portions, the wines and the staff, were just great. They were very busy for a Tuesday; however the manager and the owner have time to get to know us, and us to get to know them.
Tonight, we went with my girlfriend family…and once again…FANTASTIC. The selections of wines is excellent and the prices on them, even better. The girlfriend family was as impress with them as we were a week ago. This is the restaurant to go. During the week days is great to find a place that you get the chance to impress your family and friends…let face it, on the weekends every restaurant on the midtown and Downtown Toronto are packed, service is a bit rush sometimes, and the connection between the staff and the customer is CERO. I will come this Saturday to Boland's with two couple's friend of mine; I will let you know how it went.
Try this restaurant, Is worth it, and the room and ambiance are just great…and they remember my name!!! That is always a plus. The raspberries Mohito and the fresh Lime juice Margaritas are GREAT! The blue Crab salad and the Seared Calves Liver was delicious; the Duck ,the New York Steak were out of this world, the sautéed spinach and Green Beans …perfect…and for dessert a pineapple chocolate mousse OMG!

Fantastic Experience. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! My friend celebrated my birthday at Bolands, it was Fantastic! Great food and great wines! (very good price wine list ) . The service was excellent and fun. My friend are regulars of this establishment and now I know why...can't wait to come back! The duck was prepare divine and the liver was to die for...and warm chocolate cake!!!! You can not go wrong with options like this. CONGRATS GUYS you accomplish to impress all of us. My birthday ROCKS!
Great Dining Experience. I have had several fantastic dining experiences at Boland's Open Kitchen. The food has been consistently excellent, service is super friendly , and it has a great vibe. Its a really nice addition to the neighbourhood with more interesting food and wines than some of the other restaurants on that strip.

Great Night Out. My wife and I came to Boland's Open Kitchen with our good friends and we were pleasantly surprised! The staff was super friendly and extra thoughtful from the moment we walked in this intimate but casual setting. The four of us enjoyed a round of our favourite drinks almost before we sat down and got comfortable! A short time later we were enjoying some very tasty appetizers such as the beet and goat cheese salad, the scrumptious veggie rolls, the yummy tiger shrimps and my favourite the seared calves liver.
All of us enjoyed main course fare from the sea that night such as the Poached Salmon with hollandaise sauce, a wonderful seared halibut dish with a warm quinoa salad and the great lake pickerel with the oyster mushrooms still makes my mouth water!
Although we were full, our server did manage to convince us to try the homemade brownie and lemon curd and we were not disappointed at all. And now that they've got their new cappuccino machine, we topped of our dining experience with a frothy cappuccino, an espresso and at the suggestion of our server 2 of us tried the Spanish Coffee which was out of this world.
I gotta tell ya, in between the wonderful courses of food and drinks we were treated like royalty and even though the place filled up pretty quickly, Chris found time to come and say hello to our table and his staff managed quite nicely to take care of our every need including ordering a cab and walking us out the door to it.

Wow what a great night. I had a wonderful experience at Boland's. I was there with 3 of my friends, and it was a great evening for all. We walked in to a warm and welcoming atmosphere and enjoyed the remainder of the evening with freindly yet professional service.
The food was excellent and there was something for everyone. I loved the Halibut and my friend the trout. Richardo took great care of us and the owner stopped by to ensure we were happy. I highly recommend Bolands for an evening out with freinds or family.

Boland's Open Kitchen is a great local place for a family meal. Their menu includes comfort food that you would have at home and the service is very friendly. This place can get quite busy during dinner time so it's best to make a reservation.
There are 2 small movies theatres on the street so sometimes I will go to the movies with family and grab a bite afterwards at Boland's.
FIY - They have half prices bottles of wine on Tuesdays!
My husband and I love this little spot. Staff are so friendly. The food was so tasty and fresh. Lots to choose from. Great selection of drinks- especially wine. Beautiful little patio and a cozy inside. Will definitely be going again!
My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant for Summerlicious dinner. It was awesome!! I ordered deer? (Maybe). It was so tender and juicy. I was afraid of strong smell, but this is very good flavor. We thought it’s very good value more than we expected. We enjoyed these tasty food. Definitely, we’ll go back to Boland’s😋
My girlfriend and I came here for our anniversary. It was great! We ordered the duck appetizer which was superb. She also had the souffle, which she personally didn't like, but I gave it a try and it was good!
I ordered their venison wrapped in prosciutto, as it was their special of the night. It was absolutely exceptional. I had it medium rare and the second you cut into it, you know it's perfect. It had this delicious red hue and tasted very fresh and wonderful. The prosciutto also greatly complemented the dish. The dish comes with some roasted peppers and mushrooms, and is served on mashed potatoes and gravy.
The waiter was also extremely friendly and attentive. I loved his enthusiasm. We had a great time, and would definitely be back.
We had the most wonderfully creative and curated meal accompanied by wine flights and specially chosen wines. The beef shots ribs were fall apart tender, the service was top notch…for a truly special presentation and memorable evening - this is a sure bet.

First time here and can't wait to try more dishes on the menu! The short ribs and vegetarian filo pastry wrapped mushrooms were delicious! Sauteed vegetables were cooked perfectly! Take was ready on time and piping hot!
The food and wine was delicious and Chris was very friendly and helpful! My family and I had a great experience eating here and will definitely be back soon!
