WHAT TO TRY?!?
Their brunch!!
I can’t speak for their steaks and dinner because I haven’t tried their dinners yet, but the brunch was good!!! For $45 you get a good selection of AYCE hot and cold plates and breads and desserts! The price also includes drinks too!
Unlike a lot of the hotel brunch buffets, they put a lot of effort into making and preparing their food in a way that you keep going back for more. Of course they have the bacon, huge sausages and lots of ham to offer. There’s heat lamps constantly shining on the hot food to keep them warm and the best part is, the kitchen and the heavy fireplace ovens are right beside the buffet counter. Don’t fret the food isn’t fresh because you can see them replenish food very quickly on a busy brunch afternoon when foot traffic is high.
I love the fact that the restaurant is also right next to the beach - woodbine beach! So after a game of intense volleyball in the morning or afternoon, you can head over to the restaurant for lunch or dinner!
They age their steaks and other meats in house too so you’re guaranteed they know what they’re doing and better control how they like their meats to age!
LAST TIP?!
For those of you who are a fan of mimosas, you’re in for a treat! They have bottomless mimosas for an additional $19.99 so if you can drink, I highly recommend you take up on this deal! Well to start an afternoon in a happy go lucky kind of way!
Absolutely amazing food. The rib eye steak is melt in your mouth and the seafood platter is to die for. Some of the recipes are even some of the owner’s mother’s recipes. The restaurant has a story in every brick and table, just get the owner Alex to tell you about it. Everyone there is warm and welcoming. If you are in the Beaches neighbourhood of Toronto, you have to make a stop here.
We went here for dinner with some friends and the food was excellent. We were also very happy with the service that we received. It is on a bit expensive, but the quality of the food (especially the steaks) makes you realize why you are paying what you are paying.
I'd definitely recommend this for a finer dining experience with your significant other or a small group of friends.
I was surprised by two things:
1) The restaurant wasn't packed
2) They were out of Wagyu :( - I hope they get some soon. They said they weren't happy with their supplier and they were trying to source a new supplier.
All the food was great, so go enjoy this place.
