What a dining experience. Our server, Brook (or Brooke?) was charming and attentive throughout, and made the milestone I was celebrating with my girlfriend extra special. The food was phenomenal, from appetizer to main. We ordered the Funghi Assorti as an app and the kitchen's special pizza of the day, which was a vegetarian affair with grilled eggplant, fresh basil and beautiful parmesan sauce.
Also, my hat to the exceptional wine menu.
The staff at the Queen St location are amazing! Our server knew the answer to every question and also gave her recommendations. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and our meal was delicious. Overall a great experience and I would really recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Came here for lunch with a few friends. It was my first time at this location though I've been to another location before. Between us we ordered a vegan pizza (no cheese), the seafood pasta and duck ravioli. We all liked our food, but no one really loved their food. While the prices are reasonable, they are on the higher side. Over all, I really wanted to love my food and the restaurant but I have to give it just 4 stars.
I suggest you try this place as it has the feel of being in Italy right here at home. The vibe was uplifting and the atmosphere and surroundings were authentic and nostalgic. The food that kept coming from the kitchen looked amazing and when I finally received my order I was more then pleased with the dish. The service was also amazing and the restaurant is a family restaurant, however they have upstairs dining with a hint of romance in the air.
Came with a group of friends and everyone was satisfied with their meals but the seafood pasta was the star of them all. Great server who offered wine recommendations based on our meal and it paired really well. Dessert was nothing spectacular, the lava cake didn’t lava at all. Prices are on the higher end and servings small…no need to worry about taking home leftovers.
What’s really cool about this one is that you feel in Italy. It has a very oldie look and the bottles of wine scattered around the place give it a certain look that you’ll love. I really enjoyed it. Food was true italian. Mozzarella is made here -and you can tell- parmigiano is perfect and the pasta and the bread are top notch! 100% recommended
Occasion: first date kinda vibe ♥️
Our first time going there was a great experience. We didnt know what to order but our server was great and helpful. She explained the menu, the options and helped us choose based on what we like in our pasta and pizza. Beautiful and chill patio and we would definitely go back.
I've wanted to go here for awhile after some friends raved about the restaurant.
We had the Funghi Assoluti to start as we never tried oyster mushrooms before. It was interesting but a bit pricy for what it was.
Our main course was Tagliatelle alla Bolognese and Tonnarelli alla Norcina. We found the bolognese to not have much flavour and liked the norcina a bit better. The norcina was a tad bit salty for us however it was good. You can tell the pasta was made fresh - it tasted great.
Reason I am giving this place a 4 star review over a 3 is because of the service. They were a bit late with our mains and they gave us a free desert without us even mentioning anything. The Budino di Caramello was so good - would reccomend!
Wow! It was our first time here, it was absolutely beautiful, the service was awesome, our server Gaia was incredibly! We loved her, the food was absolutely delicious. The octopus was delicious we ordered it twice. Great drink menu as well.
Highly recommend this place
A classic bustling little restaurant on Queen which serves amazing Italian food. Love their extensive menu of pastas and pizzas. The wine list is extensive and offers lots of Italian options not available at the LCBO. My favourite is the seafood pasta!
The best shareable appetizer is the salumi platter! The fried mushroom is too difficult to share with more than 2 people.
Pro-tip: ask for the newest wine list and recommendations. It’s constantly rotating.
