There is no place better to split a cote de boeuf. The combination of the staff, atmosphere and quality of food keeps me coming back. My favourite is sitting at the bar beside the open kitchen and watching all the food being prepared
The deluxe prefix they just came out with is off the charts, the grilled octopus is unreal
Delicious! A bit crowded, but worth it. Definitely recommend this place.
My friend and I went to Jules on a Friday afternoon. It’s quite busy over there. We had rib eye to share and escargot. It took some time for them to cook the rib eye. It was so good! The portion is big enough for two girls. I love the presentation as well. The fries are good. And the escargot was delicious too. I will go back to try more items on the menu.
Great French restaurant! Enjoyed every dish from the appetizers, mains to desserts. Even their coffee is delicious! The seasoning and fresh Herbs de Provence they put on their steaks is wonderful! Reservations a must especially on Fridays and Saturdays.
The atmosphere is quaint and unpretentious. There's an open kitchen and the staff are friendly.
Going to try their new Queen Street West location next!
Tried their menu on a Saturday night. I highly recommend making a reservation since it gets very busy and call by phone if there’s nothing available online. We sat by the bar, and it was fun to watch the cooking; it was a bit hot and my clothes smelled like meat for days. I enjoyed the ambience and my meal, except for the steak which was over cooked so the meat was tough (wanted medium rare, but got well done).
Delicious food! It was my first time there and I would definitely go back. The vibe is very casual/hipster, which is nice to see for a French restaurant. I got the Croque Monsieur Sandwich (amazing) and Lemon Crepe (good).
Place is not too big, but has its magic, place looks nice, the staff is friendly, sitting on the counter is an interesting experience seeing how they work in the kitchen.
I loved the food, coffee and dessert, I will definitely come back and try other stuff on the menu.
The steaks are nicely sear and seasoned. The portion is enough to satisfy any meat lover. Fries and vegetable on the side are also a plus. Keeping it healthy when you enjoy your tasty steak. The only problem is that once in a while you might come across some pieces with a bit more fat than usual. Service was great too!
I had the Chevre Chaud salad. I wasn't sure if it would be filling, but it really was. It was one of the most delicious salads I've ever had. Fresh tasting, and lightly dressed and you get 3 big pieces of baguette smothered in warm goat cheese.
The service was very friendly and attentive, and the decor was rustic and cute. I was here for a weekday lunch, and it was consistently busy so you may want to make a reservation if you have your heart set on coming here (and you should).
I can't wait to come back to try the french onion soup!
Went for their specials, food and service is great! steak was cooked perfectly but slightly salty for my preference, fries were very good and the whole combination of the plate went well together. Not sure if their A/C was down but could have enjoyed more if it wasn't humid and hot while eating.
