We happened to find this place by chance; came for lunch on a Saturday afternoon with 3 friends, had and amazing Reuben sandwhich served with very fresh bread; I ordered the platter, comes with fries and coleslaw that were a nice large portion and very good. Our waitress was very friendly and the place was clean. All 4 of us really enjoyed our meals and agreed we would come back again.
Happened upon this place accidentally- the best way to find the real gems in the city. Jermaine was fantastic, gave us the best recommendations and without fail the food was incredible. Great price as well, if you're looking for Toronto's best kept secret, it's here. PS always get the poutine!
Not easy to find but once in there, it's a treat! Great sandwiches, straightforward menu and friendly service. Don't order the colossal sandwich unless you're prepared to put away a ton of cured meats.
Personally, loved the corn beef sandwich. It seems slow for Friday night, but great place for delicious meal and good vibes.

You can't go wrong with a great corned beef or smoked meat sandwich at the Corned Beef House. And here, they pile it on as high as you want with the various size options available. You'd be hard pressed to find another "deli" offering this option.
And the meat is outstanding. As good as any other in Toronto or north of the city. So, pile it on as high as you can eat.
Our server the other night was Jermaine - a total pleasure - who did a great job looking after us.
Oh, and if you like a real dill pickle that is still crunchy, get it here.
Lastly, if you like your fries cooked well, this is your place. They're awesome.

Smaller place but not loud and upscale, everything else around here is very pub-like.

Very good Montreal smoked meat and corned beef sandwiches. I also recommend the club platter (sandwich, fries & a pickle). Excellent onion rings. They have some great beers on tap and free coffee with any order.
This place is popular with the lunch crowd so arrive by noon or expect to wait for a table.
Amazing service, even better food. Definitely will be coming back the next time I'm in Toronto.
