I was looking for a ramen place. We got thos one not far from the hotel. I really enjoyed my ramen dish. I did also ordered a smaill rice on the side, it was ok, but nothing spectacular. Prices were ok
I ordered a spicy fried rice which I liked. I also tasted their pork ramen the spicy one, best ramen I tasted in Toronto. Its also affordable and worh it. Staff were nice and the resto is easy to find.

They have decided to put as many seats as possible in one locations. The seating felt a little cramped. There is art all over the walls of sumo wrestlers. There bowls glued on the side of the wall from different time Era. There was a lot to see around the place. It was loud even with limited people in the restaurant.. Interesting choice of music too. I found my self enjoying my food listening to Beyonce from 2005.
Food:
Seaweed salad: tasted good. Can't go wrong with it
Warm snow peas: I tried this for the first time and it wasn't bad.
Spicy Ramen Noodles: I got the shrimp.. The shrimp was the best part. They came out sizzling and were charred perfectly. They were a little salty but i disnt mind. Unfortunately they only give 3 shrimp opened & twisted around on a stick. Since this was the best part I wish they had give me more. The Ramen noodles it self wasn't bad. I like the broth better.
My friend got the chicken Ramen noodles. She was very disappointed. The broth it self had some flavor but the chicken was just dry boiled chicken
My other friends got the Spicy Steak Ramen: Theirs also came out sizzling. The Steak is recommended, and most popular at this place. They enjoyed it very much.
I would definitely return for some late night Ramen noodles. The prices were decent too.
You won't be disappointed in the Ramen but you also won't be impressed. The pork that I had in the soup was relatively thin and not as succulent as other places I've tried. I bought the 'choose your degree' of hotness Ramen and went with 100. It was pretty damn hot, was tearing up, but it wasnt a burn that stayed in the mouth. Worth a try if you want a quick and cheap bite.
My first ramen experience was awesome. Large portions, great price, tasted awesome. I got the spicy chicken ramen and it was tasty. Also had seaweed salad and gyoza. Yum!
This is the perfect meal on a super cold day. Ramen is definitely one of my winter comfort foods...and what better place than Ajisen to asassiate my craving.
The variety of menu items is astonishing but delightful. I honestly wanted to order one of every type of ramen they offer, and rice dish.
The service is super friendly and polite. The prices are extremely reasonable and most of all, the ramen is superb. The broth is delicious - full of flavour and light (clean). Most ramen places serve broth that is way too salty and heavy which doesn't leave you with a pleasant aftertaste.
If this cold spell holds up, I'll definitely be back soon!
Spicy pork Ramen on a cold day. Ultimate comfort! Service is fast. Broth is hot. My only complaint is too little pork in the soup. Love this place.
I came to Ajisen Ramen on Nuit Blanche with five other people. We walked into the tiny restaurant and it was packed.
However, within 5 minutes they were able to clear a table for us.
I ordered the Ajisen Spicy Pork Ramen ($8.99) and some gyoza.
My whole table ordered Ramen and drinks and within five to seven minutes we all had our food. The ramen here, like the North York location, was decent. I made the mistake of ordering the ramen a bit too spicy for my tolerance. From what I was able to taste, I really enjoyed the flavour of the ramen.
The gyoza were tasty, and everyone else enjoyed their meal.
Good, Fast, and Simple. I went here with my mom and sister for a quick meal and we decided to try out this place. The service was...mediocre(and very casual). They saw us, told us to sit where ever, brought some hot tea (which was perfect on a cold day), took our orders and within 5mins we were already eating our ramen. It being my first time there, I chose something simple: Japanese Beef Shank Ramen, which was actually quite good and filling, although the beef didn't taste very fresh (as if it was out a while), a little disappointing since I wanted beef and not...soggy meat (does that make sense?). Overall I was quite satisfied and would definitely go back if I was looking for a quick bite.
You can never go wrong with a hot soup on a cold, fall evening. Had myself the Koji Salt Pork Ramen which was great, my wife had the Scallop Ramen and our guest had the Seafood Ramen. All great choices in my book. Service is fast and friendly. The food is always great even though I haven't tried the whole menu yet I do love my favourites. Come have some Great soup in a great little place on Spadina. :)
5 stars for the tasty foods. Had pork katsu and spicy chicken ramen. Both excellent. Tidiness and washrooms could've been improved. We didn't feel rushed as I've read from other reviews, and it was a Sunday. Overall satisfied with service and food.
Went there around a week ago, on Thursday May 19th. Ramen was good, nothing very special though. Service was good, very easy to get attention of the server. They also checked on us if everything was alright. Would recommend to go once in a while.
Come here, you won't regret it! Great ramen and great service! I would like to note the attentive waitress with glasses, she was excellent! It was my first time here and I am very glad that I got here, now I’ll be a regular guest
Great place for getting ramen fast! Tom yum broth is spicy and delicious. Steak could be a bit more tender though. Server forgot to give us a knife with for our steak too.
Fast service but was not rushed out the door when done. Ramen was perfect, can highly recommend grilled sizzling shrimp and the black garlic broth is full of flavour without the piercing sharpness one expects from the notorious herb.
Good experience. Service was really fast. They offer free wifi and really good covid safety with plexi screen and hand sanitizer on each table. Pricing is also very good. If you love a lot of spice you will enjoy the tom yum broth it's delicious! One of the best tom yum broths i have tried. I was very close to giving a 5 star review but my friend who ordered the vegetable broth mentioned it had an over powering spice/seasoning in there that didn't taste all that great compared to the tom yum that was absolutely amazing. Also I ordered the steak with my ramen and it was too salty. Other than these minor notes the over all experience at Ajisen was great and I will definitely come back for the tom yum again.
I got the Japanese Fried Rice (w/ chicken) here, and it was great. The portions were big, and it was delicious!
Chinese run/owned ramen shop. Noodles were firm, broth was seasoned well, and everything came out in under 10 minutes. Would recommend for a quick lunchtime or dinner time meal.
