Woody's is hands down our favourite burger spot in all of TO. Best burgers, best toppings, best poutine fries, best staff, best bathroom, best everything. Also, they have beer. It's like the Christmas morning of burger joints. Merry Christmas! 🍔🍟🍻🎄
Awesme burger amazing poutine, I will be back next time I'm in the area, only thing wrong was my top bun was fridge cold. Still 5 star , the poutine has this smokie wood flavor, 1 of a kind.
So we decided to visit Woody's after seeing it on a list of the top 10 burger joints in Toronto. It was fairly close to my place being just a 20 minute street car ride.
We ordered a regular burger, a stuffed cheddar cheese burger and a tandoori turkey burger along with some sweet potato fries with chipotle Mayo.
The portion sizes were massive and my friends were unable to finish their portions.
I was pretty content with my food and happy with both the taste and the quantity.
The fries were seasoned a bit too much for my liking.
Overall good experience
South Etobicoke has a long history as a destination to grab an old-school burger with all the classic fixings. These days, the restaurants serving up unique burgers are greater than ever and include made in-house premium beef and custom meat blends, and a variety of grilling techniques, including the use of Canadian hardwood. One of those places is Woody’s, a small place just off of Brown’s Line in Etobicoke. Woody’s has been serving up burgers since 2009 – before the major burger craze hit the GTA. And it may have been around for a while, but Woody’s is still cooking up a storm in the present day and its burgers are more reflective of Toronto’s old burger scene than what we’ve got now. They’ve got a small seating area, and a fairly large patio for when the weather’s nice. They sell a number of different types of burgers (turkey, chicken, bison, etc), including a bunch of customized burgers with names like Coronary, Tokyo, and California. When we entered the joint in the early evening in March, we were a little surprised to see how small it was. Very limited seating so if it's busy, takeout might be best. They advertise a twenty-minute wait for their burgers, and they weren’t kidding. “We’re not fast food,” the menu boasts, “we’re good food.” Umm… I guess?
Had the Brie Burger...delicious! The fries had a fantastic spice on them, so good! Definitely recommend. Good looking and very nice staff!!!!
Another packed night at Woody's! Even though the space is packed, the patrons know what they are awaiting- a fabulous hamburger, fries and I have not had a milkshake yet....but I am sure they are just as delicious! Remember, be hungry when you arrive... the portions are not small, the food is fresh, fabulous and you will enjoy every mouthful!
Amazing, worth the drive and the wait. Had burgers all over the world and I can say this is the best burger I ever had in my life! Must tries are the California, Tandoori and boom.
Great burger love them all, real wood fired burgers made to perfection. Best buyer place in the GTA. The alpine, four cheese are my favorites when I eat here along with 50/50 fries. (sweet potato/regular) Along with some local selected ales on tap, it's a great place. Can get crowded at times and seating is at a premium in this small joint.
Was a tasty burger. Has a good variety of burgers and pulled pork sandwiches. Little on the dry side but good size. Would recommend compared to what else is in the area.
Good place to grab an authentic burger. Â The place itself is tiny, but well worth putting up with the crowd. Â Great tasting burgers. Â I recommend.
You can always tell a place by how busy it is, not the biggest place so thought I'd takeout but a seat came up just as soon as my food was about to be ready, amazing food and service can't wait to try more of what they have to offer!!!
Good variety of burgers. You can select any burger you like and customize it. Especially for people who do not like a lot of veggies its a good option. Their chicken burger is very tempting.
