I brought my 12 yo son to Mildred's Temple Kitchen for his pre-birthday dinner because he raved about the Gnocchi Poutine (from a previous visit with his Uncle and Aunt 3 years ago!). Also, it has been awhile since I've been there when they first opened the new location. I've been a fan of Mildred's when it was known as Mildred Pierce.
From the greeting at the front by a friendly hostess to our server Andrew and to the chef (who brought out his birthday treat) to the floor manager with the English accent (who brought him a complimentary real hot chocolate), the whole birthday dinner experience was EXCELLENT!
The food was FAB-U-LOUS! Tasty with interesting (read yummy) flavours. We ordered the special grilled salmon with Israeli couscous, roasted romaine lettuce with fennel sauce, gnocchi poutine and the pasta bowl. Everyone cleared their plates!!
I love the space tucked away from the busy heart of Liberty Village. The room is full of light and easy ambience which lends to a casual calming atmosphere for dining. All I saw were happy diners with attentive and engaging floor staff. Keep up the great job gals and guys!
We will come back for brunch! Worth the drive from Markham!

There might be a wait depending on when you go there but I promise you, it’s absolutely worth it! Amazing food. Amazing customer service! We certainly recommend it.

Brunch date at Mildred’s Temple Kitchen with my LuBly wifey. Great looking place, roomy and lots of good vibes. Staff seems nice except for the tall hostess at the front (miserable). Almost ruined my date. Had to take my wife someplace nice 👍🏻,right!
Anyhoo, let me just say that my wife and I will be definitely be coming back for more and will recommend this place to my family and friends. Let’s start with my drink which is the London Fog, brewed Earl Grey with steamed milk and a hint of vanilla syrup. Delicious.
Now the food, my wife ordered Veda’s choice which is like a eggs 🥚 bene described as soft poached eggs on a flaky croissant 🥐 with smoked salmon, salad and rosemary potatoes. Sounds good, right. Delicious. Hot sauce on the salmon over the top. Eggs nice and runny. Wifey definitely polished off the plate. Myself I ordered th the Huevos Monty which is black bean refritos with cheddar cheese on flour tortilla with eggs, fresh salsa, avocado 🥑 and sour cream. Definitely a recommended item from the menu. You will leave filled and satisfied with this order. A party 🎊 in your mouth. Let’s just say that I hardly spoke to my wife, hehehe.
Shoutout to Pablo, our server who was great and friendly. Made recommendations and the food sound so delicious. I will definitely be coming back and recommend this restaurant to all.
We had brunch at Mildred’s Temple Kitchen, right after we got off the plane on a Friday morning, a few weeks back with D & B in Toronto. Do people in Toronto actually work? I was amazed at the fact that we arrived right at the time the restaurant opened, and there was already a line up. It wasn’t a long line up, and we were seated outside on the patio area fairly quickly. This gave us a chance to observe all the other people who came after us that had to line up as well. Try to make a reservation!
The best blueberry pancakes I’ve ever had! They’re perfectly fluffy and buttery. Just thinking about them is making me hungry! The scones here are also amazing!
Cute place and in a weird corner, took me a few minutes to find it. Came here for brunch with the girls on a Saturday. I got there 10 minutes before opening and there was already a line, so come early. we all ordered the blueberry pancakes, which were really good but very sweet. I think it would be better to share with someone. We also split a side of roasted potatoes which were good and seasoned well. The service wasn't the best, no one came back and asked us if we were doing ok till we finished the meal.
Absolutely love the atmosphere, food and top-quality service at Mildred’s. This is by far one of the best places I have ever been in terms of food quality and service. I’m always excited to hear about the chefs daily special; it is always decadent and original. Mildred’s is always on point with their dishes and accommodating their customers. One time the food was late and the manager gracefully gave myself and my partner complementary drinks and deliciously house-made scones. That is by far the best customer service I have ever had! I’m always thrilled to bring friends and family members to the exciting and original restaurant that is Mildred’s. I would eat there everyday if I could. That being said, they will be seeing me more often! Cheers *
The pancakes were the fluffiest and thickest pancakes we have ever had, and were extremely filling. The skillet was a good palate cleanser in between the bites of pancakes, and also filled you up with meat and potatoes.

Finally visited this restaurant on the last day of Winterlicious. Situated in Liberty Village, one would expect a very high level of service and food. The place is very spacious, it is very beautiful inside and the staff are very friendly, well dressed and so professional. Just a tip, ask not to be seated near the food preparation area, too busy. For appetizers, my friend and I chose Mildred's famous crab cakes which were presented on a mini skewer, 3 in total on a bed kaffir lime & jicama served with a chili lime emulsion. The crab cakes were crunchy and the crab meat mild tasting so the chili lime emulsion beautifully complemented the flavor of the crab meat. Next we chose our entrees, Duck and Waffles and Pan Seared Cod. My friend enjoyed her duck, which fell off the bone but she didn't care for the with rhubarb gastrique which is an acquired taste. The Cod was a total miss for me. The portion was extremely small and the cod was not pan seared enough. The taste was very bland and needed some fleur de sel and the bean succotash was a mess again very bland and did not go well with the cod at all. A very disappointing and poorly presented dish. The desert chosen was White Chocolate
Cheesecake with red wine cranberry compote . Here the presentation was typical of a cheesecake not sure what the crumbs on top were needed for. The red wine cranberry compote was the most delicious part of the cake. The texture of the cake did not appeal to me, it was very spongy and I detected very small amount of white chocolate. The taste fell flat and both of us were disappointed. Overall, I see the appeal of this restaurant, the dishes are innovative however, some combinations do not work well at all. I have read that that one should try the brunch which would be an option, but for dinner, not my cup of tea. Overall, great service, beautiful decor and ambiance, food combinations need some work,
What a great find in a newer neighbourhood! I came here for brunch and it was busy but we didn't have to wait for a table. Their croissant sandwich was delicious but it became very messy to eat as the croissant is fluffy and the sauce got all over the place. Their popular scones, made fresh daily, were as good as promised.

Review: BOMB! The pancakes are super fluffy and buttery. I enjoy it a lot more than the traditional pancake. I'm always tempted to order it everytime I go there. It's my go to brunch place whenever I can't decide where I want to go or are in a hurry to decide. I've taken a lot of my closest friends and family there and they all could not agree more on how delicious this food is! I've tried almost everything on this menu and so far everything I've tried has yet to disappoint! You must must go here if you're ever in the city!
PS. No reservations on the weekends so go during the weekdays if you can or early because you'll definitely be waiting to be seated!
We made a reservation in advance and got our table without any waiting. The staff was a little slow but the food made it up for the delay. The pancakes are a MUST HAVE!! Super soft and fluffy. We also tried their croissant and quiche which were both delicious. Great brunch place. Definitely coming back for the pancakes again :D
Great spot for brunch but make sure you’re going in as early as possible to get on the waitlist. Over the weekend, the wait is sometimes over an hour because of the popularity. If you are lucky enough to get in, their pancakes are a must try! It’s so fluffy and full over flavour. I usually share this dish with two other people along with a main dish. Grilled cheese was mediocre but the steak and eggs and the croissant dish was really good.
Call them ahead of time to get an expectation of how busy they are!
Great brunch spot in liberty village. Everything is freshly cooked with fantastic flavour.
If you do not make a reservation, get ready to wait for a few hours on weekends however a walk in Liberty village is always a nice way to pass your time.
The server was a great host and gave advice on the items to order.

A really fantastic lunch. The eggs and warm croissant for my son was devoured, pancake was less fluffy and more like a biscuit. The wife loved it but glad she only got one. The fries were done darker which is always a plus for me. Overall lives up to the hype.
Lovely dine-in brunch spot in Liberty village. The food was delicious, staff friendly. It did however have an hour+ wait for a table at 10AM, took a while to get the food and all of it including the steak and eggs were cold by the time we got it. I’d still put it on a short list for brunch with friends but maybe not necessarily on a weekend.
Great brunch place. We arrived just a bit before 9:30 and were narrowly able to get a seat in the first wave of available tables. The meals are excellent (especially the hyped up blueberry waffles), but I have to also highlight how amazing the customer service was. The spot itself is sleek with a wide open space setup that really gives you that breathing room to sit back and relax. Definitely a must-do brunch location in Toronto.
