We arrived at the restaurant, a few minutes late for our reservation, and were seated at a private table.
Our exceptional server Michael, anticipated our every wish, and was very kind to our Aunt, who needed some assistance, and had her walker with her.
The food was absolutely incredible, so good that we ordered additional food to go!
The wine list and desert choices exceeded our expectations.
Perfectly located across from the Ballet and Opera, with a prix fixe theatre menu.
We will be back with more friends.

Had the most wonderful visit on Saturday evening. Our waiter was incredible and the food was delicious! Was an awesome treat! I had the chef's special which was a delicious veal dish and my partner had an amazing steak!! The atmosphere was very cozy and in a great location. We came in around 9 pm and the service was wonderful. You must try the tiramisu!!
The Caesar salad was the best I’ve ever had. The ricotta fritters were outstanding. Our entrees we terrific as well. Service was excellent.

At the corner of Richmond St., and York St., directly across from the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts, is Little Anthony’s, a small Italian kitchen and bar which has cemented themselves as a staple within the Toronto theater scene. The bright, clean, and simple orange décor helps solidify the notion that Little Anthony’s is the place to be before a show, and with an outstanding feast for $35 through a partnership with the National Ballet, it won’t be easy to eat anywhere else.
Starting as Anthony’s 19 years ago, and moving to a smaller space two years later (where “Little” stems from), this sleek Italian eatery has been bringing a modern take on Italian food to the city, which is difficult to come by in the downtown core.
The idea here is simple, they make fresh food using local ingredients and change in accordance with the seasons. Yet such a simple idea has brought forth exceptional eats.
During our visit we met with executive chef Garth, who has been whipping up inspired dishes for Little Anthony’s for the past two years. He even brought with him three delicious recipes all unique to the standard Italian you may find at Nonna’s. Our early dinner started with a simple caprese salad. Heirloom tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and seasoning brought this beyond anything we have made at home, and the green tomato provided a great crunch, adding the perfect texture to this dish.
The shrimp scampi ($16.50) was sampled next. This luxurious dish was created with a buttery white wine sauce different than you may find in the south. It was served with a fresh arugula salad that helped to cut through the richness of the butter, offering a great balance of flavours. What truly set this dish apart from the rest was the gremolata crumb topping the shrimp; the perfect texture.
Tagliatelle alla Bolognese ($19.75) is what followed next. Masterfully created with veal, pork, beef, veal stock, tomato, and a Northern Italian spice blend of cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon really brought this dish to a new level. The spices really brought forth one of those “I-can’t-put-my-finger-on-what-is-in-here-but-I-love-it” moments. We truly have not had a Bolognese which has ever matched this one for sheer vivid flavour.
Mony, the night bartender, treated us to an unnamed cocktail which was created using muddled strawberry, cucumber, basil, lemon juice, and orange syrup, finished off with limoncello, and vodko over ice. We suggest you stop by to check out this summertime drink while admiring the paintings, also created by Mony, which are displayed at Little Anthony’s.

Pre theater dinner. We had a lovely early dinner here on a week night before catching a ballet at the Four Season's Centre. My calamari appetizer was delicious and my salmon entree was well prepared. My husband had a nice caesar salad and the special fish of the day, sea bass prepared simply with olive oil and garlic.
The renovations that have been done to the place are also very nice, lots of natural light and spacious seating.
I would go back. Excellent food and attentive service. We ordered salted cod on crostini, eggplant and caponata on crostini - all excellent. As a main we ordered sea scallops and veal chop - also top rate. All in all a 5-star night
A delicious and pleasant surprise. Last night we decided to try this restaurante and we were very pleases with everything. The service was excellent. The night special was beef tenderloin or veal chops. We started with an amazing plate of antipasto (the ricotta cheese with honey was fantastic). We ordered the veal chops. It was huge, perfectly seared and cooked to perfection, no need for extra salt or pepper. So tasty! The chops were served on top of a simple tomato and cucumber salad tossed with pesto and it was a nice refreshing flavor. We also ordered the roasted pumpkin risotto to share. The risotto was delicious, toped with a cream made with brown butter and parmesan cheese. We ordered a bottle of a Pinot Noir (California), a perfect choice. No great choices for desert, so we skipped it. The espresso coffee was perfect. The restaurant is very comfortable and it looks great! They did a nice renovation. We will definitely return. It was a delightful experience on June 1st, 2012.
Great restaurant in Toronto!. I've only been to this restaurant once (as I am from Montreal) and have only great things to say about the place. Classic Italian food at a very modest price!
Very pricey! very tastey!. I thought it would be 10-15 per person but it was more than 25 per person. The nights specials were 33 and 35 dollars. The waiters were snooty and a little rude and our drinks were never refilled. The food however was amazing. The tortellini was great and the smoked chicken was tender and unbelievable.
The prices are a little expensive but it's worth it. The food was perfect and tasted more authentic than any other italian restaurant. Unfortunately I didn't eat at the restaurant, but it is conveniently located across the street from The Sheraton.
This was a wonderful dining experience. Authentic Italian food with an elegant atmosphere. The food was delicious served hot to the table, great selection of wines, pleasant staff, amazing Tiramisu! we were pleasantly suprised by an opera singing staff member wishing a patron happy birthday.
Little Anthony's has the highest quality ingredients all wrapped up with Italian love. The service is beyond impeccable and the food classic with surprising little twists. House make ricotta to slather on warm crusty bread is sure to please as are any of the really cool pasta dishes. Fish is treated with respect and that always makes me happy. Save room for dessert. The list is short and perfect.

Higher end Italian restaurant, we were here for a Christmas lunch, enjoyed the Burrata, the main Veal Marsala and finished with the chocolate mousse. All done to perfection. Great spot, good service and atmosphere. It you don't mind spending a little more, we reccomend. Enjoy, bon appetito.

What I love the most about this place that it is quite. It is so rare in Toronto that you can find a place where you talk, not scream to each other.

First... We were sat in a window seat, so it was a great start to the night. :) The lighting and decor, were beautiful, warm and inviting. I love the burnt orange upholstery! The service was so great! Lindsay, was attentive and helpful.
They have a great selection, both by the glass and bottle. Make sure to try the Bacon Wrapped Dates, Garganelli, and Ricotta Fritters. THE FOOD IS SO GOOD!!!
