Nestled on the corner of Yonge street in North York, Symposium Cafe restaurant and Lounge does catch one's eye.
My sister and I tried this restaurant several months ago and kept on coming back on weekends.
Each day, they offer a speciality such as on Sunday, buy one slice of cake and get the second for free- whereas on Fridays bottle of wines have a discount.
On the many occasions I have been to the Symposium, I found their dishes very generous an appetizing, whether it is the salad of the salmon dish. The latter is well cooked and marinated to a point that I ate the whole platter within minutes.
The waiters are very friendly and attentive. The music is not too loud nor out of place. The dim light would make it perfect for date night.
I tried their carrot cake and it is to die for.
Prices are fair for the quantity and quality you are offered.
Which reminds me I am up for another comeback soon.
I am eating in restaurants almost everyday, but if I find time I try to go to symposium for breakfast ,the service is very different and the foods are so delicious and nice portioned, last time I was there last week it was very pleasant and my waitress also manager were very attentive, normally in other restaurants after they serve the food you dont see the server after you get your food and you never see the manager but symposium you don't need to look for them they always around and keep asking if you need anything else ,I definitely come back again and again
Came with two friends. We had breakfast which was really tasty and very reasonably priced! I had the Tuscan Benedict which came with a side of potatoes. Coffee is $2 with free refills if you get any breakfast which i also liked. Staff is nice.
