Rolls were great, yakitori was was larger than I've ever had. Got sashimi box, great value, teriyaki chicken was excellent. Only thing was I ended up with diarrhea afterwards, but I can't be certain it was from the meal. Either way, it was worth it, I loved it.
Despite just opening, my best friend and I make an effort to go regularly, and with good reason too. They put the best quality into everything they make. From the rolls to soups to boxes, the value is undeniable. The staff are all inviting and really sweet, but not vast enough to feel disconnected either. The level of care they have is inspiring, going as far as taking spice shakers out of the kitchen and leaving them with you just to make sure you're 100% satisfied. Price-wise it's also very affordable, whoever claimed it's $25 to eat for 2 people probably just couldn't stop ordering their Spicy Tuna Rolls (it almost melts in your mouth). Would absolutely recommend to any fan of sushi in surrey.

Went to Sushi Rei for lunch today with my daughter. It was so great. Food so fresh and tasty ! The staff are all so nice. We will be going back.
We have been going to Zen Sushi to support our local restaurants. The last two times we ordered it took 30 minutes for a simple order. Then I tried to order on a Tuesday night...no answer after 4 attempts so I drove over there and it was closed....not explanation....I attempted to order again tonight well before closing time and they said they were slow tonight so they were actually closed but they could make me some sushi but nothing from the kitchen. A flyer was delivered recently which I saved. It's a block away from Zen Sushi. They accommodated my order immediately. It was ready in 15 minutes. It was fantastic. I will definately recommend them to anyone in my neighbourhood.
This new sushi restaurant just opened. I gave it a chance and they have exceeded my expectations. It's a hidden gem. The sashimi is fresh & the rolls are delicious. The bento box is such a good value. My new favourite spot for sushi!
Really enjoyed our experience as we wanted to try some different from our monthly visit to Sushi California. This is a by far improvement as the location is quieter and prices are comparable so you don't break the bank but can actually have a conversation.
Food was great as it came out quickly and tasting fresh. I was able to ask for no onions in my don as some other places don't allow customization.
Check this place out if you want great food with a great experience.

They seemed open recently. Interior was neat & clean, and i loved their service. Bottomline, food was amazing! I highly recommend 'Pork katsu don'.
We eat here WAY too often. The staff are amazingly friendly & the food is absolutely fantastic, fresh & presentation is beautiful! Ever since we discovered this hidden gem I never go anywhere else. Do not hesitate to go & eat here!!
Our family and friends went there last weekend. I am not a big fan for sushi usually, but their food, including those rolls, tuna, salad etc.are all excellent and fresh. The environment is very nice and clean, staff there are so friendly. You would not regret to have it a try if I will say. I have been spreading the words around my colleagues during the coffee break this morning when I am trying to locate the address for them on Google map. Here it promoted to write my review.
Great new Japanese restaurant for this area. The small plaza that it's in is a bit run down and may turn people off but see past that and head inside. Very fresh fish, exciting specialty rolls and the chef sometimes sends out a new dish for free to test it out! I highly recommend the ramen here as well. Also fantastic service, and staff remembers who you are.

The first time I went to Sushi Rei, 5/5. This timing going to Sushi Rei 3/5. Averages out to 4/5.
I agree with others, sashimi is very fresh. I would definitely recommend.
However the sushi rice they used to wrap the makis and rolls were too mushy.. they added too much water when making the rice. It didn't taste good since we ordered the tray and everything involved sushi rice. Talking about the deep fried stuff (dynamite & tempura), they were not fresh as they we were soggy and cold. You can get those fresh at Sushi Zen. Crazy Girl Roll I also didn't like. Nothing special.
Nice neighborhood restaurant that never disappoints. I don't eat much raw fish but their negitoro rolls are great! Another favourite is the Holly roll, roll box and katsu don. If you like Asahi, you're in luck because they have it on tap!
