FOOD:
We had come here for a Baby Shower at around 12:00 pm on a Sunday afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised at how much food we were given, and how delicious everything tasted! We were first given baskets of bread with butter on the side, with the bread coming as small buns; they were absolutely wonderful, very tasty and a good size. Next, we were served Antipasto, which came as a large dish, with a variety of different items such as Eggplants, Red Peppers, Bocconcini & Tomato Sticks, Prosciutto, and other delicacies. All of the items were arranged beautifully on the dish, and tasted fresh, with a lot of flavour added to each item; I thoroughly enjoyed each of them!
Afterwards, we were given two dishes of pasta; Penne With Red Sauce & Farfelle With Alfredo Sauce. I really enjoyed the Farfelle With Alfredo Sauce as I found it to be tasty, yet, not too rich with cream. I also liked how the Parmesan Cheese was in a shaker on the table, which made it easier to put onto the pasta when needed. Next, we were given individual dishes of Veal In A Mushroom Sauce, With Mashed Potatoes & A Medley Of Vegetables. I really loved how the veal tasted; delicious, with just the perfect amount of flavouring, not too overdone, and not too liquidy either. Overall, the food here was very well-done, and I was impressed with how wonderful everything tasted.
ATMOSPHERE:
We were situated in the upstairs dining area of the restaurant, which was at the very back of the restaurant. It was a bit far to get to from the front door, especially when we had gifts and other items in our hands. I also found the restaurant to be very noisy as there was another party on the first level, with no dividers between the two rooms. Since it was a very hot day, the air conditioning was full-blast, making it cold in the area where we were seated. However, I did like how the area we were sitting in was quite big, and the chairs were comfortable, definitely a bonus when we were seated for most of the afternoon.
SERVICE:
We were served by a few servers, that came every so often to bring our items and to take away the dishes that we had used. We were impressed with how quickly they had come, and how polite they were when we had asked them for any additional items that were needed. Also, they came often to fill-up our water jugs and ask if we needed anything else for the table. Overall, the service seemed quite attentive and detail-oriented.

WOULD YOU RETURN?
Most certainly! The food was very good, which made us want more and more of it!
Fantastic food. I've been coming here for years and have to say it never disappoints. It is a family run business and uses local suppliers, good quality ingredients and even organic produce from the owner's garden in the summer months. Soups are all homemade and the pastas are tough to beat. Waitresses have come and gone through the years and some better than others which probably explains a lot about some of the reviews. If you are looking for authentic Italian food at good prices this place really can't be beat...oh and be sure Joe makes you an espresso - the coffee beans here could compete with some of the best coffee bars in Rome.
My party was greatly disappointed with the long wait for their menus, beverage refill and order taking from the waitress. I ordered the mussel appetizer (which was steamed with a chunky tomato sause. The mussels lacked the rich flavor of the white wine which was described in the menu. The portion for this appetizer was enormous and well worth the $9. (very fresh) Another member of my party order (al dente pasta) which was perfect unfortunately the house sauce was bland and lacked proper spices. Finally, the final member of my party order strachetta "soup". I use the word soup loosely as it was flavorless, had no egg, and tasted like dishwater. Overall, I would only return for the musell appetizer.
