Great atmosphere, super friendly staff and owners, great coffee, great live music from local artists. And the walk up window is genius.
Best coffee in town. I had a flat white and their signature banana bread and was not disapointed. Amazing baked goods, fantastic group of staff and really cool interior. 5/5 would recommend.
I like the convenience of this cafe, which is within walking distance to the entrance of the North Head Trail, which is an awesome trail that takes you around the cliff and up to Signal Hill. The cafe seems to be always busy, probably due to its location. It was quite busy on both times when I dropped by. Food and drinks are served reasonably fast. I enjoyed the capuchino, rhubarb lemonade and sandwich/soup combos on both of my visits.
We were out bicycling around St.Johns today, and stopped in the cafe for a drink and something to eat. We had tea , coffee, and squares(date & brownies) . They were great. This is a great location located next to Battery Road. We sat outside on the patio and talk with some of the other happy patrons!
I visited The Battery Cafe because their website said they always have gluten free options (just ask!) and I am gluten intolorant. I had a delicious chicken and pesto sandwich on gluten free bread as well as a tasty latte. Ate outside on the patio with a beautiful view of the Harbour. Would go back for sure!
I had a delicious Lavender Americano Misto on recommendation by one of the lovely staff members. It went well with my Partridge Berry White Chocolate Scone. This will definitely be a go to place when I visit St John's!
You know how there's those coffee shops that have that perfect vibe - that "it" factor? This is it. You can sit inside or outside at this quaint location and even order and get your items from a small window on the exterior. No coming in and out! The coffee here is amazing - my favorite so far in St. John's. Their pastries are local and exceptional. Location: hard to beat. A stones throw from Signal Hill, close to the harbour and the rest of downtown. Really hard to beat this!!
We stopped in after touring Signal Hill. A band was warming up in the back room the windows were open with views of Jellybean row houses and the staff were super friendly. Great coffee, good snacks, well stocked coolers. Visit the park across the street.
Had a vanilla latte with oat-milk and it was delicious! Also had a sourdough grilled-cheese which was a tad expensive given the size but was tasty as well. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a tasty, quick option!
