My wife and I went here for the first time on a Friday night before a concert at the Arden Theater. From the minute we walked in the door until we left after our meal, it was obvious all of the staff were dedicated to making our experience amazing. We were looked after by Cindy who is one of the (new) owners and she provided some of the best service we have ever had, anywhere. Everything is done with class, and pride.
The food was excellent (we shared a beet salad, both had the Carbonara and shared a Tiramisu). Everything was delicious with large portions at very reasonable prices. They have a great wine list and again, the prices are very fair. The ambience is cozy and welcoming. Overall, it was a fantastic dinner and we will be back soon. I really hope people support this wonderful, locally owned, non-chain restaurant run by people that are incredibly passionate about what they are doing. Outstanding!
I think much of the content on Zomato is from before 2019 and the new owners... New owners are great and the food is all such good quality and so yummy as a result! Great plates for sharing and a super cute, modern environment!
What a fantastic Mother's Day dinner at Luisa's. We were frequent patrons before but will be even more now. Our meals were so great. I cannot wait until we go back. As the Italian restaurant world has changed a bit, what a joy for this new experience with the new owners. Thank you and thank you for the roses! Truly, a must!
This restaurant is a hidden treasure on Perron Street. Fabulous food, authentic sauces, bison special was to die for!! Veal Polpette was perfect. The tiramisu is a creamy, coffee-laden delight. I have to mention the daily homemade bread, so good!! Aaaaand the pan warmed olives with homemade sausage were a wonderful pairing. We will be back with friends.
I went here on a Friday night. Apparently they are busy every night so get in early or call in advance!
I went with a friend and shared a few dishes. We started with the bruschetta and shrimp scampi. The bruschetta had a strong taste of garlic and basil and the bread was toasty and warm. The shrimp scampi was spicy at first taste, but; the sambuca gave off a nice sweet after taste. Lastly we shared their pork medallion entree. It came with brandy mushroom cream sauce with roasted potatoes and asparagus. So flavourful.
The food and service was great. The menu definitely reminded me of my holiday in Italy, I will definitely be back to try more!
Absolutely amazing! I was with a group of 5, and the entire meal we could not stop raving about how good our food was.
I was a little worried as I tend to be a picky eater, and usually like my comfort burger and fries type meal. I had a lamb shanks. AMAZING! I didn't want my plate to end! The meat portion was definitely generous, and so flavorful. Loved the potatoes, and the asparagus with it was done to perfection.
There were a few item on the menu for kids, a plus for some families that had brought their kids there.
Highly Highly recommend.
Oh ya. The service was good too. Nothing exceptional, but friendly and got the job done timely and professionally. The owner did come out to talk to us and ask how things were going which I thought was nice.
WOW, all I can say…. I have never had a meal that makes me describe it with so many adjectives: exquisite, delectable, delicious, extraordinary... I could go on! This is THE place to take anyone you want to impress. I will definitely return. This time I enjoyed the chicken parmigiana and shrimp scampi and I can't say I have ever had such a tasty meal! I don't want to spoil it for you, just go and try it!
Went there for the first time after many co-workers recommended the place and will definitely will not be the last! Had a great experience! The staff are friendly and very helpful in choosing the right wine and which dish I would enjoy. Had the bruschetta to start, was very garlicy, but; the herbs and cheese had a nice compliment to it. I’ve been to many restaurants for lamb, but; never had it the way they made it. Was delicious and very tender, I had try to their tortellini, so the waiter recommended that I could subsite it.
That being said, I do have a recommendation, I feel that their appetizer portions are too big (reduce it down ;) ).
Would definitely give this a try!
I was out venturing in St. Albert for a show at the Arden Theater and I came across this little place situated right across from the venue. What a find I must say indeed. The atmosphere of the place was warm and inviting and felt like I was right at home. We began with one of their specialities of the evening, being the Cozze (steamed mussels) done in a white wine garlic sauce, very flavourful I must say, followed by the next course, being as I'm assuming their famed bruschetta since practically every table in dining room, seemed to have that dish. I had the lamb shank done in red wine sauce as my main meal, very tender and my other party had the Pescatore (mussels, what I believe is salmon, topped with a lobster tail), she seemed enjoy it as well.
We both were full for dessert, however; to our luck, they were still opened after the show and we were able to sneak in just before closing to have a little night cap, tiramisu and cappuccinos.
I live far out in south Edmonton, however; I'll definitely make sure to venture out there again!!
Go there all the time when I need my
Italian fix. They've got the best bruschetta with lots of garlic and basil. The shrimp scampi is also really and very spicy.
Tortellini with their meatballs is a must to have! Only downside is that they are not open for lunches :(
