ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Mistake #1: ordered a appetizer and a full meal. The Bruschetta was incredible. The bread was perfect in every way, the topping was perfectly chilled. The main meal had so many incredible flavors.
Service was absolutely amazing, never had a chance to drink a full glass of water and I'd be getting a top off.
Recommended to everyone!!
This is a great Italian restaurant nestled in St. Albert and has a great staff and atmosphere about it.
The food is very good and the decore inside, although very Italian, is a little much.
I really enjoyed myself here.
The muscles was not over cooked, just right and the tomato sauce went really well with it. Along with the friendly atmosphere, it's a perfect place dine with friends and family.
My husband and I have come here twice in two weeks. I have Celiac Disease and was very pleased to find a place that had excellent gluten free pasta dishes! The first day I had Stuffed Red Bell Peppers with gluten free pasta and Gigi sauce. It was delicious! Large portions, enough for lunch the next day! My husband had Pollo Parmigiano with pasta and cream sauce. He really liked the pasta and cream sauce, he also said that the bread they put on the table was really good (he ate the whole basket himself!). The second time I had Penne Alla Nello's with Gigi sauce. I was very surprised by the amount of chicken that was in the pasta! There was almost a piece of chicken for every fork full! My husband had Pasticcio with Gigi sauce, he liked it but he enjoyed the dish from the other night more. He added chicken to the dish for an extra $4 and was shocked at the large potion of chicken that they gave him. We were with 2 friends at dinner that night, they had Pasticcio with Gigi sauce (they thought the same as my husband enjoyed cream sauce more but was still delicious) and had Carbonara with cream sauce (everyone but myself tasted this dish and everyone thought it was amazing and said next time they are getting that). I will be trying the Carbonara with gluten free pasta next time because it really did look and smell amazing! The only con that was mentioned was that it is super creamy and rich, can feel a bit heavy. This is by far my favourite place I have tried in the Edmonton area for gluten free pasta!!! We are definitely going to become regulars here!
Small restaurant in St Albert. Interior is not fancy but appears clean and well keep. Customers can even see into the kitchen which also appears clean. Menu is all Italian with in house mass sauces. Food is made to order with HUGE portions. Dishes are easily shareable. Flavors are great, pasta is cooked perfectly and present well. Staff are friendly and above average.
Excellent food and service. Very large portions. Good value. I will be going back soon!
We went there because of the groupon deal, so it was very good value. The regular prices are quite reasonable for the quality of the food and the size of the portions.
Took my Fiancée to Nello's this evening for mothers day. First time we've ever been here and it was very warm and welcoming when you walk in. Definitely gives you that Italian feel. We sat down and our wonderful waitress came to us and showed us the specials for the day and then grabbed us our drinks. We ordered the Calamari to start which was phoneomenal. It was very well prepared with excellent garnish. My fiancée ended up ordering the Veal Parmigiano which she barely finished and I ordered the Salmon. I did not try her veal entrée, but my Salmon was mouth watering and creamy with so many flavors in one bite.
After we were both full as can be, we couldn't pass on the Tiramisu as it is a cake I love. We ended up taking it to go and shortly ate it at home. Best Tiramisu I've eaten to date! Still won't beat Nonnas home made Tiramisu though lol. I highly recommend this place for everybody. The prices are up there, but not overpriced. You won't be disappointed. Just some advice, make sure you make reservations as it gets busy and fast!
We had a Groupon so we ventured out to St. Albert to try out Nello's. We had tried the South Edmonton location before they closed down and we weren't entirely impressed so we were a bit skeptical but went in with an open mind (and a Groupon worth $45 worth of food that we only paid $20 for!). The room was nice enough, although my son thought it was too "open". I thought the ambiance was fairly nice. We were seated immediately for a table for three near the kitchen. Not the best table available but whatever.
Always fresh and flavourful. Never a disappointment. Try the mussel appetizer, it's a heaping bowl with amazing sauce that's somewhat spicy. Service was fantastic.
Great place, great food. We had a groupon for this restaurant and went out for supper tonight. My fiancé had the Lobster Gigi which was amazing and I had Penne Putanesca which was very good. Kim served us and was great, very nice place and highly recommend it. Will definitely go back.
