Loved everything there. Great experience. Our waitress Meghan was delightful. Went for lunch and dinner during our 1 week stay in the country. We are not rich, but it was affordable for this type of restaurant compare to US. Will go again when in Canada next time. Didn't have a chance to get in last year as we didn't have the reservation. Don't know what Alex is complaining about. He probably has not well behaved children, so I could understand the owner...

My Wife is a Chef and we have so much trouble finding great places to go.
We will go to the extreme lengths to find great restaurants in B.C. and the pacific northwest.
This place is Fantastic, one of the best restaurants we have been to ever.
All 4 of us tasted each of our appetizers and Mains.
We all agreed that every item was sublime.
It was just as good as Le crocodile and Hawksworth and there meal portions are wayyyy bigger that both of them.
I was surprised by how good it was and that hasn't happened at a restaurant for years.
The Menu has not changed in 50 years and Chef Owner Pierre cooks every meal served.
The wine menu is world-class and worthy of a sommeliers dream cellar.
The property that the restaurant is on is a multi-million dollar Ocean front paradise worthy of the Rich and Famous.
The only draw back is Pierre is getting a little older and when he retires it won't be the same.
So make a reservation months in advance and enjoy a heaven on earth dinning experience.
You won't be Sorry.

One of the best restaurants in town. It’s closing on Jan 2 2023. Been twice, and both times it was amazing. First time had beef Wellington. Second time, NY steak. Drinks are poured generously and service is some of the best I’ve had.
Fine dining in a beautiful setting, near the sea with a full view of the lovely garden and the inlet.
We had an excellent birthday lunch here last weekend. The gentleman taking care of our table was super professional and just lovely. He really was the cherry on top.
The wine list is impressive and prices are quite attractive. The menu is classic French so settle in for a rich buttery experience and the price tag thats goes with.
We went as a group after paddle boarding in summer attire (flip flops and shorts) and were fine attire wise, we definitely were the more casually dressed group in the place though.
This was our second time here and tonight was a special birthday celebration. This was THE PREFECT NIGHT! From arriving a bit early and being invited to walk the beautiful waterfront gardens, to being greeted by Victor the Retriever, to the top notch service, then the AMAZING food, the amazing view from our table, then the lovely surprise birthday dessert....it was all soooo perfect!!
Not to be missed. Deep Cove Chalet is an institution on Vancouver Island. You will feel like you have been transported to a time where a great menu, fabulous food perfectly executed, impeccable service, and a tough to beat view and atmosphere prevails. Always a pleasure

Absolutely perfect all around. Beautiful ambiance overlooking the water. Food is absolute perfection. Not a place for young chften or a quick meal. I would give this beautiful restaurant higher than than a 10/10. Perfection personified. It is a true erasure when eating here
Oh my God!!! What's not to love! Just go! Make sure you have an extra 3-$500 in the bank and go. But, do not make the same mistake we did and order starters and the 4 course meal... Bad idea. But oh, delicious, every bite. The waiter was perfectly on point. The hostess/owner was lovely, old dog pretending to be a carpet at the door was fabulous. We will definitely be back.
Our party of five had an excellent dinner here last Sunday. Everything from the booking to the pan fried oysters to the Grand Marnier Souffle was superb. The portions were generous, the dishes were of the highest quality and the service was attentive. Highly recommended!
You're not going to find a better dining atmosphere then this beautiful rural location overlooking a cove, the resident golden retriever welcoming you at the door before it goes to scamper down to the beach.
We prefer to eat inside, but the outside dining next to the garden is very popular. We sat drinking wine at the window, watching a heron land on a little pile of rocks where someone had made a number of inukshuks (Inuit stone carvings representing humans).
The service is warm and accommodating. For appetizers, my wife had the onion tart, and I had the morel puff pastry - both delicious. My wife had the halibut for dinner (her standard), and I had the curried scallops, a meal I eat as slowly as possible just to savor. As my wife was full, I was forced to enjoy the lemon souffle by myself. I believe it's my favourite dessert in Victoria.
This is our go-to special dining experience - and of course, we'll be back.
I had such a bad day doing exams and coming here made my day. Ben our server was amazing and was so calm, he really should have a raise if you ask me. I do wish there would be vegetarian substitutes that you could replace for each dish. With that said I understand that if would take away from being a authentic french dish. Highly recommend The Chalet.
The last of its kind on the Island, first class dining in a historic seaside chalet, hence the name. Service is beyond reproach, the food and presentation never disappoints. I have dined here for over 30 years and always felt it is possibly the best experience on the Island. If you love food, good service and a special atmosphere this is a must.

It is located in the area of North Saanich. The view is really beautiful. The gardens are well cared. Very recommended.
