Amazing Chinese food! Spring rolls are to die for �
We have ordered from them lots. We have tried appetizers,pizza,Chinese. We like everything we have tried so far. It's also awesome that they are open late 7 days a week!

After a bad experience two weeks ago I decided to go hunting for good Chinese food again. I came across an add for Chef Express and was surprised to see that they were open until 6:00 am. It was Friday, 11:30 at night and choices are limited for any kind of food in Saskatoon so I placed an order for pickup. I arrived at their shop about 20 minutes later.
I ordered Vietnamese Spring Rolls, Sweet & Sour Chicken Balls, Deep Fried Shrimp, Special Shanghai Noodle and my favorite dish (if its done right) Spicy Ginger Beef. I knew my wife would be shocked at the near total absence of vegetables but I was looking for hard-core, satisfying yummy after a really tough week.
I was really surprised…everything was fresh, hot and delicious. The Special Shanghai Noodle had the perfect amount of cooking and a wonderful black bean sauce. The shrimp were light and had some nice snap when you bit into them. The Ginger Beef was really, really good. Lots of beef and ginger flavor, plenty of heat (I asked for really spicy and got it). The key to Ginger Beef in my opinion is getting that crispy beef texture and then just enough sweet to make the heat worthwhile. I loved it.
The chicken balls were pretty standard fare and I think I only ordered them to make sure I had some extra sauce on hand.
The Spring Rolls were hot, crispy and tasty. Some places go crazy with the Chinese 5-spice powder, Chef Express kept it pretty tight.
Great experience and will definitely be back again to see if this was first-timers luck. Keep it up Chef Express!
Follow up experience - 2 months later.Decided to try the pizza.
I would describe it as 'OK' at best. The crust was the real problem for me as it tasted like one of those precooked crusts you can get at most food stores. Really not great. The toppings were reasonably good though I had one pie with extra cheese and I think both got the same treatment. I'll come back again for the Chinese food but not the pizza. These guys need to stick with their strengths.
