Bob's has got the best clams and chips and also their steak and chips are the best. I would highly recommend their food anytime and to anyone!!! Thanks Bob, Pete, and the rest of the staff there.
Bob's. There is no way to describe this heavenly sanctuary of beauty, the aroma of food, and the best service you can ever find. If you do not come to Bob's your so dead.

Bob's corner restaurant. This is a basic, cafeteria style, restaurant & takeaway. You will not come here for ambiance, table service, aesthetics or decor. The menu is hand written on cardboard just to the right of the door where you enter.
We stopped to get basic fish & chips and felt the value for price paid was excellent. The fish had a light, crisp batter and was not overcooked. The fish was drained properly and was not greasy. The accompanying fries were home-made and really good. We also added coleslaw to our meal whcih was also home-made and it was decent.
Overall with drinks, tax and a tip we only spent $20. It sure beats fast food chain restaurants for the same amount of money! It is even better than some higher end restaurants serving the same meal.
While we were there we saw the burger platter and it looked really good. We would definitely return. Nothing fancy but if you want deep fried or burgers it is a good bet.
So Good Yet So Bad. I love bob's if this place was on Diner's drive-ins & dives definitely would be a dive the food here tastes great but is super greasy if you don't care come here real meat not processed burgers and best prices in the city.

Family business running from this location since 1985. Good prices, large servings, delicious comfort food. It's a laid-back place that has an eclectic decor featuring crank machines, old arcade games, ancient magazines, and taxidermied ducks. Bob's is a Saint John treasure, and many families, like my own, have a tradition of making the pilgrimage to Bob's whenever we visit home. I recommend the whole clam platter, but they also have awesome cheeseburgers and other tasty stuff.

Cheap delicious fast food. No pretense. No fluff. Great liver too. Yes that's right. House-made fries, with ketchup in a red squeeze bottle, not Aioli. A grumpy chef and a friendly counter guy. Stacks of magazines from 1979. A local treasure.

Been going here since I was a little girl. Great food, great prices, family owned and run. Great selection of food from burgers, chicken, seafood. Great atmosphere. Can't say one negative thing about this place!!
