This place is good. Clean restaurant, good service, authentic Chinese food...what more could you ask for? It's a great family place too if you're ever too lazy to cook and want to eat out. I recommend pretty much everything on their menu. There are so many options and almost every single one is made to perfection. The only tiny complaint I have is that the wait for food can be a bit long. Other than that it's another great Chinese place in Richmond (AKA China).

Dishes can be a hit or miss but what they do well, it's really great.
I always get the mapo tofu. It really has that "ma lak" spiciness that I love.
Reasonably priced as well.

Quick and cheap, that's all that recommends it. The best thing about the quick bowl of dan-dan noodles I had at Beijing House was that it was cheap. I had already checked my luggage in for a flight to Australia and had almost two hours to kill, so I reckoned I’d take the Skytrain into Richmond for one last experience of its Asian food vibe. I had just $11 in pocket change, and I might never be coming back to Canada, so I needed something inexpensive to burn up my last loonies. Beijing House has noodle dishes for $7.50, so good on ‘em for that. The thick noodles were cooked OK, slightly on the soft side, nothing fancy or hand-cut about them. The pork was meh, not highly seasoned, and there was only a small dollop of it, hardly enough to notice once I stirred it through the noodles. The cucumbers and bean sprouts were fresh. This was like the Chinese equivalent to getting a bowl of spaghetti with meat sauce at some middle-of-the-road Italian joint. Ah well, I went here for a bargain, not gourmet, so Beijing delivered what I expected.

Not bad. Have been here two times now, and ordered their beef noodles both times. Its $7.50 and overall it has been consistently good with generous amounts of beef and flavourful soup. The Noodles could be considered al dente to tough although i find it quite alright(personal preference really). I eat quite a bit and its just enough to fill me up. Snacks on the other hand seem to be a hit or miss. We didnt like the beef roll as it had too much onions, the pan fried dumplings were decent though. Service was friendly but their english is quite limited but adequate.
Overall good experience here and would definately come back

Northern Chinese Homely Food. I came here twice within a week because I was so excited to find a Northern Chinese restaurant. I ordered the spring onion pancake and spicy and sour seafood soup, as well as the vegetarian steamed dumplings. The spring onion pancake was good, it came out nice and hot and was very flaky. The soup was decent, had noticeable pieces of shrimp and such. Vegetarian steamed dumplings were decent, the filling was generous.

They certainly had some very interesting menu items, such as the tomato with sugar (an extremely casual salad/ side dish), which I did not expect to find in a restaurant. But it fits in with their style I suppose.

Some of their food was a bit too salty (noodle with pork and preserved mustard), but Northern Chinese food tends to be on the salty side. My friend also ordered the noodle with beef brisket, which she enjoyed very much. The beef was generous and the noodles had a good texture.

I would definitely come back to this place for a casual lunch/ dinner.

Good:
Very generous portions for good prices
Reasonable well executed, authentic Northern Chinese dishes
Clean, food came out relatively quickly

Bad:
Inattentive servers (on par with most Chinese restaurants)
Cash only

We went to the Beijing Noodle House which is located on Buswell (at the intersection of Cook) in Richmond. I feel that the Beijing Noodle House is not as well known as the many good Chinese restaurants in Richmond. It is because of it’s location behind th

Grew up eating here, it's my family's go to restaurant. The food is so tasty (though sometimes a little greasy) and the staff are nice and attentive. Love pretty much everything on the menu.

Nice authentic Chinese noodle house! The noodle is alright, but there dumplings and cold plates are actually quite delicious! Due to the development all around the neighbouring blocks, this place is not getting much traffic now and there is never any wait!

Hands down to this restaurant! They do know their food and the noodles I ordered were probably the best bowl of noodles I had in months. The Kung Pao chicken I ordered was moist and tender. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the stirred noodles were a bit greasy.

Great place for traditional Beijing-style Chinese dishes, mostly noodles and dumplings. Well priced and very good value. Excellent choice for casual lunch or dinner.
