An old favourite, an old-school Richmond staple & still a goodie! Dinner AYCE is where it's at (nice selection) and lunch AYCE is your best bet for overall value. Personal favourite items: seafood/oyster motoyaki, chicken teriyaki, sushi cones & shrimp tempura. Service is decent for an AYCE spot & you get nice views if you can snag a table by a window. Owned by the same people who run Tomokazu so shouts out to them too.
This is more a rating for delivery through Skip the Dishes so I'm not aware of the service. However, the food is awesome. I'm a vegetarian and I always order the avocado rolls and the agedashi tofu. The avocado rolls are always fresh and have a perfect amount of avocado in them. A lot of places like to just put a bit of avocado and a bunch of rice around it, which makes it horrible, this please doesn't and it's perfect every time. The Tofu is perfectly deep fried and the sauce it comes with is delicious. I highly recommend this please for a vegetarian who loves sushi.
Again though, this is just a review through delivery.
The temptation roll, torched salmon ,and chef's special sushi are great!! There are new items added in the menu: saba sashimi , takoyaki , chef's special sushi etc
Food is good with varieties and service is good too. Went there last Saturday dinner time and it's so busy that I have to wait for 30 minutes but food and everything worth the wait. Luckily food came fast coz I was starved after the wait you know you just get starved when you see people eating while you can only wait. Will definitely go there again and try the oysters. Probably the only place that has oysters on the AYCE menu.
My boyfriend and I love this place. We've gone for AYCE here many times. The place is quite big and pretty well kept even if it's busy at times. The food is delicious. Sometimes the quality isn't consistent but when we went yesterday, we were pleased! We only paid around $12 each for AYCE lunch. It's a good value for the amount of food you can get! The service isn't bad either. I'll definitely be back when I feel like eating lots!
Fairly good and affordable Japanese AYCE. No extraordinary dish but good selection and quality. It satisfies the AYCE sushi crave. Came on Tuesday for lunch, there was no wait. But it gets super busy for dinner and on the weekends.
• oooohhhh my parking here is terrible!!!
Please carpool if you can, even if you arrive early it is busy around here. Be prepared to wait for queue. DO NOT park at nearby malls (Aberdeen & Parker place) as you'll get towed.
• place is located on the 2nd floor. Area is satisfactory, can do more maintenance & cleaning
• the usual all you can eat menu, add $ for sashimi (and its limited)
• service isn't bad but not great
Great AYCE sushi. This has to be one of the best AYCE sushi restaurants in Richmond. Everything we had was great, the food came out quickly, and the service was very good. I'll definitely be back again soon.
Pretty Solid AYCE. I don't think there's a lot of good AYCE in Vancouver area, especially ones that offer you solid food and service. Ninkazu is definitely one of the better one. Although their food choices is not as good as Ebei, but their selection is still good compare to Kingsway sushi or Richmond Sushi. Their grilled wings and sushi are pretty good. You know this is a good restaurant when there's always people lining up, especially the late night hours.
Service wise, I saw a comment quoting "silent hill" LOL. They offer decent service if you ask for something such as pickle ginger or refilling tea. If you want the really good and attentive service, then AYCE in general won't be the place that you should go.
Verdict:
Food: 8/10 (food is freshly made, you can tell)
Service: 7/10 (They bring in the food in a timely manner, despite they are so busy)
Price: 8/10 (much more reasonable pricing than Richmond Sushi, and they offer deluxe or lite dinner, which give options for ppl who don't eat sashimi)
Overall: 23/30 (They have been one of the better AYCE in Richmond, and their popularity reflects this)
Better than most. My wife introduced me to this restaurant today after having been there a couple of times with her friends. We arrived somewhat after 12 for an all-you-can't-eat lunch. We did not have to wait for a seat but the service was a little on the slow side. I guess I am used to starting with miso soup and that came one 3rd way through the meal.
Otherwise, the decor, and atmosphere with its airy views to the north and the mountains was agreeable. This plus the quality and presentation of the food was better than some similar offerings I have had elsewhere in Richmond. Even the wasabe was nicely presented in its own little dish. The teriyaki was a bit tough and quite lacking in sauce though. The tempura was finely sliced and delicately coated and deep-fried. The sushi and nigiri seemed fresh, including the rice. Our only real beef was that we were never offered a refill of tea, but I guess we could have asked. Come to think of it, they short-changed us on the orders of nigiri and tempura but when it's all-you-can-eat you just order more, which we did.
Decent ayce. Went to Ninkazu a few times and the food was great, great service, decent price, compared with kingsway sushi Ninkazu has better food, even though its 19 dollars including tip but its well worth it.
Ninkazu. We arrived for a very late lunch. i thought the staff would give us stink eye for dining so close to their break time but they were surprisingly welcoming and we got everything we ordered off their menu. aside from feeling a little weirded out from being the only table in the entire place, we had a good meal.
better than average menu/taste for an ayce place.
still waiting for a great ayce place tho
AMAZING!. I am from Edmonton. We don't have alot of "All You Can Eat Sushi" Around 4 restaurants in Edmonton, and expensive too! Went here with my famiy. Make sure you make reservatons as it gets packed very fast. We did not make reservations but we had out name down on the list for the late evening AYCES. We didn't think we were gonna make it. Waited about 25 minutes before our names got called and I was so happy they did. Service and quality of food here was amazing. Fresh too. Portions were big! I have never ate so much sushi in my life! One of the best AYCES places that I have been too!
Very good for AYCE, I keep coming back mainly because of their Korean salmon sashimi and chopped scallop roll.
One of the better AYCE's.. I try to come here early because this place does get packed really quickly (particularly on weekends). There's enough choice to be had, plus some things you don't usually find like raw oysters (they only have so many each night). The quality's good overall, with no real surprises or omissions. You do get less than what you order often, but it's not like every other place does that.
Probably the best ayce sushi around Richmond. The delux menu include a huge variety of sashimi and raw oysters which was fantastic. My only thing with this place is the manager. Not too sure if this guy has ever managed a restaurant before or was this a family restaurant that he inherited but his actions are quite confusing. During busy times, you see him running around the restaurant like a chicken with it's head cut off. He is constantley tapping on the tables and making his staff really on the edge. Understand this is a fast paced environment but you need to relax and MANAGE a restaurant efficiently and not acting like a kid in a restaurant. Will go back, and hope he changes as alot of the surrounding tables were laughing at his actions as well.
Great AYCE. I've been here for the late night ayce (the cheapest); however, you have to arrive early (starts at 9:30pm) or be prepared to wait. It can get pretty busy.
There are a lot of options and the food is great. I love their salmon sashimi and their chicken teriyaki rolls.
After so many visits here, I'm still not used to the "rules" of ordering. We ordered a bunch of stuff that never came. We weren't sure if we were past our 2 hour limit because they still sent us our oranges, jello, and mango pudding. But the other rolls that we ordered never came. And we finished all the food we had beforehand. So confused.
Good service.
Fun and filling but not amazing. Quality as expected for an AYCE. Make reservations cuz they're busy. Some items not fully thawed before serving. Good service. Good variety for deluxe dinner menu.
Ninkazu. Love their after 9 pm cheaper all you can eat
love their food in general, especially their gyoza
it's nice that they have an option for hotpot
Pretty Darn Good. After we found that our favorite all you can eat sushi restaurant closed down, we were forced to find a new option at the last minute, and one that could accommodate a group of 15 people.
I jumped on urbanspoon and saw the "83% like it" so off we went with our party of 15 people for lunch. I am very happy to say that we've found our new favorite all you can eat sushi joint.
Everything we ordered was great. No, it's not the best sushi ever, but we wouldn't have expected it to be at an AYCE place. But it was as good, if not better, than our previous favorite.
The price for lunch at $10.95 is well worth the value. They have two AYCE dinner options - $19.95 or $22.95, the latter providing more elaborate offerings.
I will recommend Ninkazu to all my friends looking for a flat rate sushi place. Even my family members who do not enjoy sushi were happy with the variety and quality of the "non sushi" items on the menu.
The only negative I could find with the restaurant is that they more than once didn't bring out some of the items we checked on the menu slip. I think we ordered one particular item on three different order slips and it finally came out on try #3. But that's something I can live with, since there was never any shortage of good food coming out of the kitchen and sushi bar.
One thing to be aware of from a practical angle is that the area is so densely populated with businesses, that parking is quite a challenge. There are seemingly 100 restaurants in within walking distance and just doesn't seem to be enough parking options.
AYCE sushi AND hot pot? I think we're in love! Decent service and great food. We'll definitely go again!
This is probably my fourth time eating here for All You Can Eat, otherwise known as AYCE. I have not had much Japanese food, so many of the dishes I cannot judge since I have nothing to compare to. This is one of the better ones in Richmond according to reviews and friends’ opinions though. For $10.95, their lunch options are certainly plentiful – after all, I tried a total of 34 items!
Yummy-in-our-tummies
+4.5
On the whole, Ninkazu is an above average restaurant. Service is prompt except when they're really busy but that can be pretty normal. The food is good too. For the average a la carte eater, there are definitely better sushi restaurants around but for all you can eat in and around this area, Ninkazu is my favourite. The food is better than what you find at other ayce serving places like Richmond Sushi and Matsuyama and its pretty centrally located as well. Its my #1 recommendation for late night or weekend ayce sushi and it has been for years. And it probably will continue to be unless some place spectacular opens up at a competitive price.
We ordered off their Deluxe Dinner Menu ($22.95) because I specifically wanted the raw oysters ( Kaki Pon ). I absolutely love raw oysters!! These were of decent size (considering you can get as many as you want) and tasted quite fresh.
Overall, a deluxe dinner at Ninkazu will cost around $25 before tips which is significantly cheaper than Kingsway Sushi Deluxe dinner. The dining experience is mediocre, Ninkazu has been around for awhile and it’s nice they are on the 2nd floor which looks over Aberdeen but other than that there really isn’t much of a “view”. The service was alright, it wasn’t the best. But I also wouldn’t say it was bad either. Although our orders sometimes were missed or was just delayed (probably due to Father’s Day).
... it is one of the best all-you-can-eat place out there.
Food delivery was a bit slow...there were pause moments. Service was, again, just like our previous visit, surprisingly pleasant for an AYCE restaurant.
We just came back from Victoria, we were hungry, and this place is known for pretty good ayce. The service was sparse, but huge credit to all of them for being able to keep such a busy place afloat, and everyone generally happy. Huge credit.
It always feel good going to All You Can Eat lunches and dinners. iRock and I decided to try Ninkazu in Richmond. The lunch menu is $9.95 for adults and $6.95 for children under 5 feet and under 12 years of age. You can get unlimited salmon and tuna sashi
Ninkazu offers all-you-can-eat sushi and hotpot for dinner. The price is very reasonable: $19.95 / $22.95 for the lite or deluxe sushi menu, plus $3 per adult to add on the hotpot option. These types of restaurants are good for groups or large parties, be
I had promised my dearest friends C, B and L that I would never reveal the secret about the 'all-you-can-eat' deliciousness of Ninkazu (located in Richmond, BC) but after finding them on UrbanSpoon I can't really go on without telling the truth. Yes, Nink
