I’ve never heard of Chinese Sauerkraut Fish before until I stumbled upon it on someone’s Insta account. I’m always game for Szechuan so we decided to give them a try when we were in Richmond. They specialize in one dish; you guessed it, fish sauerkraut. Hours and sign outside. We dropped in on a Sunday evening (around 6:30pm) and were shocked to find it completely packed. We put our names down and waited for about 45 minutes for a table to open up.
Try to make a reservation before coming as wait times during dinner service can be long. The deep fried mochi bars are quite delicious but it can be a big portion for two people. We ordered the small size for the fish with potato noodles, spam and enoki mushrooms as add ons. They make their sauerkraut in house and the flavour of it was very prominent in this dish. One star off for hasty service. The level of spiciness is a little bit less than what you would get at a normal Sichuan restaurant in Vancouver.

This sauerkraut fish dish from Sichuan has been popping up all over Richmond and Too Two Chinese Sauerkruat Fish is one of the famous restaurants which specialize in this dish. I believe this is a chain from China so it was no surprise that the restaurant was extremely busy. Be sure to make reservations in advance as you may still need to wait a little.
Loved it! Personally think it's not spicy enough, but very tasty fish and soup! All the small dishes were delicious too! Definitely gonna go back!

○they pretty much don't do reservations. Tip to get a table: go 2-2.5 hrs before your desired dinner time and put your name down and then go elsewhere (malls nearby) and come back after that 2 hrs; you will still have to wait a bit though
○foods were good/ the main dish is very spicy by default so it's not suitable for people who don't eat spicy/ they specialize in only 1 item, sauerkraut fish but their menu has small appetizers

Very delicious! We ordered the large size Chinese sauerkraut fish for the 4 of us, with a few side dishes, and that was plenty enough food for us. I'd recommend the feast size if you have 5 or more people. I would come back again.
It was a very pleasant experience we had at too two. The food was delicious. I especially loved the spicy chicken they had served us. Not to mention their service as well. The staff are so kind and helpful that whenever I needed something. They were always there for me. Allen was serving us that night, and he gave us an absolutely fantastic experience. We will definitely come back again.
First and foremost - the food is delicious. Taste was very balanced between spicy, salty, sourness, and sweetness. The cold dishes were a nice touch to go along with the spicy and hot.
Portion sizes were large, price was reasonable for the quality and quantity, and service was quick and readily available during a Saturday night.
I don't know what some other reviewers are complaining about for the service. The wait staff don't bother you as you enjoy your meal, and every time we looked for someone to refill our tea or ask questions, someone came immediately. And I mean immediately. I didn't have to look around to try and get someone's attention. They were all watching and ready for action.
Highly recommend this place.
Sauerkraut fish is one of my favorite Chinese dish. The fish is very slippery and tender. I also recommend the Kou shui Ji(Sichuan chicken recipe), don’t miss it.
Super tasty fish (cooked just right) with sauerkraut, one of my favourite restaurants to go in Richmond. Service was average(Chinese standard)

I actually like their fish quite a lot. It is still one of the kind in town. Love the way how the flavour of pickled veggies develop through the course of the meal. At the introduction it was just peppery and you can taste the fresh and hint sweetness from the fish. Then it will become quite spicy and tongue numbing. Highly recommend their dessert and appetizers too. I don’t think it’s cheap but they do deliver tasty food and experience.
