It's a real hk cafe, of course service is bad! But the pineapple bun and egg tarts are the best here!!
The pineapple bun is 100% Hong Kong styled and even better. Of course the price here is higher than the one in Hong Kong. It is worth to enjoy one in Lido with 100% good quality.
I can see lots of hk people (both residents and tourists) gather and enjoy the home taste here. And now more and more people from mainland China.
The breakfast menu & products are more attractive for me. And now they Service prune apple bun till late night. A good news for me! 😄

• first, parking is impossible to find if you come after 0900, so be very patient and be nice
• Unfortunately I ordered the pineapple bun to go; it was just ok, nothing really special about it. I’m not even sure if it really has pineapple in it. From what I’ve dissected, it is just a bun topped with some yellow food coloring crumb?
• the place is busy and packed; hopefully one time I hope to get a seat and try the other dishes
Lido Restaurant 麗都 is located on a very small and heavy traffic plaza in Richmond. It is next to Aberdeen Centre. It is a very classic Chinese restaurant which has menu on Chinese. It also accepts CASH $ ONLY like many restaurants in Richmond.
Those who have been in this Hong Kong style cafe 茶餐廳 know about their fresh and tasty pineapple bun. 🍍🍞 Try to order your pineapple buns early or else you will have to wait for 20 minutes. Each fresh batch gets spoken for pretty quickly!
It is the best comfort food in town! Highly recommend for pairing the pineapple bun with HK Style Milk Tea. ☕️

Right nearby Aberdeen mall, one of the restaurants you can go for breakfast. Busy mall area but has several parking slots. Quick hong kong cafe style meals. Pineapple buns and egg tarts are freshly made to order.
Our food is served pretty fast, the pineapple buns and milk tea are just as good as everyone says. There was one girl who’s super sweet and explained the menu to us, the rest of them looked at us like we just burnt their house down or something. We wanted to tip the girl who took our order but a lady came and grabbed everything and then returned the tips to us? Needless to say we were confused as hell. I would suggest bringing someone who’s fluent in Cantonese for less confusion.
This place is like organized chaos! I'm not sure how the servers keep track of all the orders and bills. It's very busy with a constant turn around. The pineapple bun was really good! Nice chew and yet so fluffy and light! I regret not eating one with a slab of butter! The scrambled eggs and hot dog were standard. The macaroni soup with ham was on the salty side although I was surprised to find the macaroni al dente and not overcooked. The milk tea was strong and not too milky, however was disappointed to see them microwave it to make it hot. Bring cash!
Busy busy place! We came on a late Saturday afternoon and still had to wait about 30 mins in line. There's not much English written on the menus so you might want to bring a Chinese-literate friend.
Pineapple bun + butter: served fresh and hot -- melts the butter perfectly and it was as delicious as people say. 😋
Egg tart: solid great tasting, similar to those found in Hong Kong.
BBQ duck noodle soup was surprisingly good too since I didn't know what to expect. I was thinking since it's in Richmond, their BBQ meat selection should be high quality -- and it was!
Milk tea: 👍👍 Smooth, non-acidic goodness with no strange after taste. I loved it 😋😋 I barely had to add any sugar.
Service: Standard and quite fast!

I don't know what the heck the menu says but what I DO know, is that the pineapple butter buns are the bomb.com . I would drive from Burnaby to Richmond for these !
Great food, decent price. Be patient to wait for seat. We went there on Saturday at 1pm and we wait almost 25 mins. Totally worth we get to taste the best pineapple bun of Vancouver.

went here on a weekdays journey for dinner, and the last time i was trying to get here it wasn't openned but now it's so it's time to tried it out, ordered the humongous, like really big clay pot rice with 2 toppings, a cantonese pasta, and a fermented bean with vegetable.
i must say the clay pot rice is definitely alright, the rice is cooked well, some cripy rice on the side, and the meat is tender and just enough flavour as well. the cantonese pasta is okay but will rather try other items next time and the fermented bean with veggies, i think it's a must try, i never really say a must try, i find my self liking the dish, why? because it tasted a little bit different seasoning, the taste of fermented bean is the first time i tried when mixed with a vegetable, tasted savoury and definitely not light for a vegetable but a good amount of layered flavour on the vegetable which mixes nicely with the refreshing wok'd vegetable. there are also many other items that are interesting while i was in the restaurant, and the seating, is a little bit hard because i have seen people who didn't lined up just took away the chairs that is just being emptied, not really sure how the seatings worked in this location. definitely satisfying but also shelled out a little bit more than i wanted, will bring more people next time to bring the cost down :D
ps. if you notice the wall, there are items that are very interesting dishes, and it's only written in chinese.

This place gets really busy so if you don't want to wait long you'll want to make sure to go early if you have a big group. This place reminds me of little cafes in Hong Kong. They have fresh pineapple bun that comes out often.
I’m not sure how Lido only has 3.6* at the time of writing. Whenever I crave Hong Kong food (lived there for 17 years), Lido is the first place that comes to mind. The pineapple bun is SO good, as is the congee. The vibe is as if you’re at a chachaanteng, they even play TVB Pearl in the background. Love it.
Certainly a place hk people go for the nostalgic charm. Expect delicious and yummy, yet greasy food with ok service.
Conveniently located right by aberdeen centre
This place closes early so don’t expect to come here for dinner.
Ate here twice and was happy both times, service is friendly and food is fast!
