Better than average and food is tasty BUT price is a little higher price than most places. I want to give this a 3 star with price factored in. But 4 without price. Portions between fair to decent. Especially with the price.
Came here for a family dimsum lunch. Service was good, they didnt forget us in the private room. The lady greeted us before putting down the first few baskets of dimsum. Nice decor, clean and bright. Dishes are a bit on the smaller side but made well.

A completely new adventure for me with my lack of the chinese language,10 minute wait to be seated got a pot a tea right away i had to flag a staff member down who rudely took my order then i patiently waited for 8-12 mintues for my first dish to arrive i ordered Har Gow,Shaomai,Spareribs,Chicken Feet,Dumplings thank heaven the menu had pictures after flagging down a staff for my bill nobody came to collect my cash i finally walked to the front counter to pay. Overall the food was delicious but the service absolutely SUCKED if you have patience to wait i would recommend this place
This restaurant is often busy on weekend. We were told to wait 30mins but somehow waited 1 hour. We ordered quite a bit cuz we got so hungry waiting so long. All the food are so good. Food came fast. I just don't like the person who arrange the seats. She was a bit rude.
Poor service, but good food. The staff that work here are horrible, let's get that out of the way. Judgemental, tip greedy, and pompous. The hostess (the same woman that many other reviewers also seem unhappy with) is indeed very rude, and lacks basic qualifications for the position. But service aside, I find the food itself to be of great quality. My family and I have had both dim sum and dinner at this establishment on a number of occasions, and the experience has always been the same: practical and unfriendly staff, but tasty food.
Came here for dinner with a big group. Food is decent but wouldn't say that it is the best Chinese food around. We got personable, attentive service at the beginning of the meal which slowly diminished as the restaurant got busy for an event booked for the other half of the restaurant. We did enjoy the almond cookies and sesame balls at the end that came with the classic red bean dessert.
I just change my review from 'dont't like' to "like". I must say that the food quality and service has got better in recent months. Price is considered on the above average price for dim sum, but the quality reflects the price.
20% off for dimsum between 9 - 11 am. Their quality is still as good as when the chef was at President Mandarin located above Richmond TNT. Dinner and special occasions are never disappointing.

Very good deal together with extra discount on takeouts. Delicious foods, high quality of ingredients and skills of chefs. Very friendly and high efficiency front desk associates (captain, server, cashier and bus person). They packed the set meal in professional way without any hesitation on my takeout.
Dine in also a good option, they have a nice setup and (very important) good practice of the hygiene protocol. Suggest to make reservation to secure your table to avoid waiting in front of the restaurant (although lots of space in the mall for waiting or spend some time on shopping).

Father's Day No "Takeout" Discount.
Had some dim sum and a noodle dish here and really enjoyed it. The food quality was good as was the service. It’s a much larger place than it looks from the outside so don’t be daunted by the line up.
Gingeri Chinese Restaurant has been operating decades and I had been dining with friends from time to time.
The dishes provided here are quite authentic and have many honkongness frequent visitors. Since the restaurant is always busy in the rush hours, may need yo be patience to waiting for food be delivered.

Today I had a wonderful experience with my family at this location.
In the entrance they have a machine that tested your temperature and the tables were social distance
We ordered the $128 menu and asked for the salted egg for the crab. Our Server Alson was super friendly and waited until my sister arrived so the dishes won’t get cold.
We had the shark fin soup. They explained that they have license and is only selling the remaining stock. It was $88 and my dad loved it.
Then the salted egg crab was amazing! It was deep fried perfectly and we cleaned the plate up.
The other side dishes were great and the quality and the price was 10/10.
Another Server Henry came by and continued to help change our plates and offer us refill on our water and check up o us.
In the end we even got desserts.
I read a lot of messages about the tipping and didn’t have the experience.
In many Asian restaurants, the min is now 12% and for me I tipped 15%.
I did not feel free pressure and the service was great.
Normally at any Joeys or Cactus, I personally default is 18%.
I personally think if the service is good, we should tip an amount to show appreciation. But more in the pandemic, I do strongly encourage you to tip if you can a little bit more because these restaurants are trying to stay afloat and the tip you gift is the motivation to keep going 🙂
Highly recommend and will return again for another dinner with my family!
Another great place for Cantonese dim sum in Richmond. Dim sum is tasty and good quality. Prices are competitive. I ordered take out and it’s just as good as dine in. Plenty of parking available at Lansdowne Mall.
