I come here periodically for quick and affordable Korean food nearby. It's pretty authentic considering the neighbourhood (suburban R-Hill). I really like their Kam Ja Tang. The broth is flavourful and the meat comes off the bone easily. I am not a brave soul when it comes to spiciness and their "mild" is perfect for my tastebuds. I also like to order Kalbi here. The ladies are very friendly and you can bet you'll get your dose of k-pop music vids when you eat here!
We had went to The Owl of Minerva for a late after work dinner. The restaurant is very quaint and clean, and the staff and owners are super friendly (they were trying to teach us Korean lol). For appetizers, we started with an order of the Korean steamed dumplings, which came accompanied with a sweet spiced soy sauce which was really good. As main courses, my girlfriend had the pork bone soup which was really warm, hearty, and had great taste. I had the sirloin bulgogi. The sweet and spicy flavours coming out of this dish were amazing, the meat was very tender, glass noodles cooked perfectly. The only thing they could of improved were the little side plates of cold salads. It was kimchi, marinated cabbage husks, and a cucumber salad which was really tasty. Will be back to try more !
