We weren’t sure what we wanted for dinner, so we drove to the York Blvd neighbourhood to find something that suited our mood. We spotted 3 Brewers, and figured that it would do the trick. Even though it was a Sunday evening, we were surprised at how empty the restaurant was.
After deciding on drinks, we made our food choices. SWMBO picked the Beer Battered Fish & Chips (1 pc). Although it was enough for this evening, the cod filet did seem to be on the smallish side. The batter was crispy and not too heavy.
I chose he Texan Flammekueche, one of the 3 Brewers’ Alsatian flatbread offerings. It had pulled pork, red peppers, caramelized onions, Swiss cheese, mozzarella, BBQ sauce, all topped with onion rings. I enjoyed the combination of flavours and textures.
Server was pleasant and polite.
First time here! Got seated right away for lunch...surprisingly it wasn't that busy. The service was ok except for when we wanted the bill the waitress was no where to be found so someone else had to cash us out. The food was good. I had the Sundried tomato and goat cheese flammekueches. Will probably be back to try something new next time!
Ate here a few times when it first opened because I had coupons! Their food is an interesting mix of German and American, and many of their dishes have beer-infused flavours. Their flams are great to share as an appetizer, but they do fill you up! Some notable mentions are the Beer-Braised Pork Shank and the 3 Brasseurs Sausage & Sauerkraut. Of course, we can't not talk about their brews! My first time here, I ordered their Special Et Cetera (six quarter-pints taster) so I was able to try one of each of White, Blonde, Amber, Brown, Feature, & Neighbourhood. Overall their beers are nothing phenomenal, but I liked the Amber and IPA (sipped a bit from my boyfriend's pint).
3 Brewers though is a franchise but maybe the only Brewery Pub in the area.
Disclaimer: I was lurked in by the promise of free tasting of every single beer on tap and a neighborhood beer which is unique to each location.
Since it just opens yesterday, everything is new including all the staff. Excited and eager to please.
Great spot to come for a pint or 2. And of course some snack too!
Neighborhood Beer is Postal Farmhouse Ale (Richmond Hill)
