Messy burgers but always delicious and always made right. The crew that works here are friendly and they know how to make a good burger. The Cajun fries are also a must.
how have i gone this long without saying something about the best fast food burger around?
well....maybe it’s because it’s slipping on the quality lately. still good but not great. the first one i ever went to was in boston and it made me a believer. these days i’m not eating a lot of burgers but on carb day i’ll hit big tex or lost in the 50’s

I have always wanted to go to Five Guys Burgers and Fries ever since it opened in Port Coquitlam near Walmart, but I just never had the chance until last Sunday. My daughters and I wanted a sit down meal to have appies at Red Robin, but it was a 25 minute wait! So we ended up here. My first question is, what's with the bulk peanuts? I went to the website to see what the significance was, but there was nothing. So if you have a peanut allergy, be warned! They also use peanut oil in their cooking. Any way, we ordered two large fries between the 4 of us! They say "bag fries" are the best! Well, there was a whole bunch and we could barely eat it all! I ordered the "Little Cheeseburger", and I added some free toppings. There were so many to choose from! Well worth the price if you decide to put the works on your burger! The "Hamburger" was two patties. My other daughter also ordered a grilled cheese. It looked really cheesy and yummy! We got our sit down dinner at a fast food place and were surprised at how good the food was. But what's with the bulk peanuts?
Not sure why all the unhappy reviewers... It's a burger joint. Been to a few 5 Guys restaurants and they've all been pretty standard. Free salted peanuts while you wait. The burgers are tasty, lots of options for toppings and the French fries are fresh cut, fresh made and absolutely delicious. For a burger chain, they do what they do fresh, made to order and they do it well. My go-to for a burger.

Gotta try it!!. Cheese Burgers are my favorite guilty pleasure. Five Guys does made-to-order flat top burgers using fresh beef with no filler and their fries are made right before you get your order.
I usually get a double, and you can choose all your toppings but I keep it simple with ketchup, mustard, relish, raw onions and pickles so I can taste the meat. This is an old school type burger and not a trendy, gourmet style burger so they use processed American Cheddar and it works, does it ever work...
This is a freaking good burger with moist, flavorful meat and soft sesame seed bun, and I think they have the best fries, hands down!! I'd easily put the burger on the top 5 list in Vancouver.
I recommend for your first visit you eat it right there, fresh and hot, so you can take in all the awesomeness that is a Five Guys Burger and the piping hot Fries. Don't take my word for it, check it out!
One note: This location, like most, has young staff so the quality and service can be inconsistent if the manager isn't there. However, I find if you let them know they fix the problem and usually end up giving you extra food to make up for their mistake.
Juicy burgers. Endless fries( well almost endless , the bag is huge) What more do I need to say.

We're Already Regulars. As someone who's heart and soul belong to Winnipeg, I have to state right up front that Five Guys aren't in the same league as the Winnipeg burger joints. Having said that....dang. Five Guys are making the best burgers that we've had in the lower mainland, and we've had us some burgers, let me tell you!
The ambience is red/white industrial echo chamber, the music is (sometimes) obnoxiously loud, and the chairs SCREEEEK across the floor with a sound that makes my teeth ache. But never mind. You're not there for the atmosphere.
As you enter you are corralled towards the order desk (fill up a container with peanuts on the way) where a friendly person will take your order. A 'regular' burger will have two patties, we've always gotten the 'small', or single patty option. There are plenty of free toppings including fried onions and mushrooms. (are you reading this, Vera's? You should be.) you can choose a hot dog or a veggie or grilled cheese sandwich as well. We share a regular order of fries, which is plenty for two people, one of whom (not me) has an anaconda-like capacity for fries. The fries are hand cut, hot and fresh, and they're the second best fries I've ever had in the lower mainland. (Texx Big Burger in Surrey has the best). Still, second best is fabulous.
You will be given a number, so find a place to sit, and wait for your number to be called. Remember those peanuts that you got? Eat your peanuts. Enjoy the frenzy while listening to your tummy growling. Stock up on napkins, you'll need them.
The burgers are wrapped in foil, so they steam a bit before they're devoured. There is a secret subset of burger eaters (of whom I'm a founding member), who like a slightly mushy bun when it's filled with a homemade patty and a pile of fresh toppings. It's juicy and hot...drippy and messy as hell...and just a joy to eat. Enjoy. Try to not lick the wrapper.
These guys have a LOT of staff on hand, (more than five! Ha!) and the atmosphere is loud and friendly, workers seem to be having a blast banging out the food at warp speed, and it's therefore a fun place to eat.
Could it be better? Yes, if they had Winnipeg chili for the burgers and fries. But still...nobody's perfect, and Five Guys is now our burger place. No one else comes close.

Honestly the best Burger I can remember having in a long time. The fries were also fresh, very tasty and they gave us about double the size of the container they appear to come in!
Will be returning soon. Very reasonable prices. Don't go in expecting a weight watches count on the menu or to order a salad.
When entering the restaurant, someone yells “DOOR”. You then have the option of a hamburger, cheeseburger or bacon cheeseburger and there are about 15 free toppings to choose from. The burger was great – very tasty – not too greasy. I will definitely be going back here !
I went to check them out the day after they opened and it was already extremely busy. I ordered a hamburger with all of the basic toppings. The regular burger comes with two patties on it so it was very meaty. I think next time I would just get one of the little burgers with one patty, but since I didn’t order fries, this filled me up well. The bun was really squished and already a bit soggy when I opened it, but the messiness of the burger is part of the Five Guys charm. The burger was dripping with delicious sauce and juices, so make sure you grab lots of napkins. They were generous with the grilled mushrooms and onions on my burger (you can add these for no extra charge), but many of them ended up falling out. Five
