TLDR: stew meats are very tender and they give a lot of it! Shrimp is way overcooked.
First time trying Roti Spot and it was a hit with the fam. Interestingly, they offer a boneless jerk chicken, which kind of tastes like spicy stew chicken, definitely not the smokey jerk chicken I was expecting. The chicken in both the jerk stew and stew chicken are really soft, and they give a lot of meat! My daughter enjoyed the fried chicken. We also tried the oxtail stew and that was delicious and fall off the bone. Tried curry shrimp and that was really dry and tough.
If you want takeout this place is SO GOOD! Lunch specials are so well priced with filling portions. I had the jerk chicken roti and the goat roti. Well definitely be coming back especially in the winter to get some warm, hearty meals 👌🏼
Clean family owned business by Pickering locals. Their roti’s are massive and tasty! Head in for the $6 lunch deal between 11am-3pm weekdays! Some of the best doubles in Durham Region. I’ve tried a few items off of the menu now and have yet to be dissatisfied! So far my favourite being the Jerk Chicken Roti with pepper sauce!
I only recently discovered The Roti Spot in Pickering, even though it's fairly close to home and I've been to nearby stores in the plaza many times.
Although I'm familiar with much of their Trinidadian cuisine, there are a few items on the menu I'm not familiar with. That just means I have to try them! Yummm!
Their prices are very good and an even better value for the money. Their most expensive meal is the Oxtail at 13.99 (large). I had a small (9.99) and it was more than enough for my healthy appetite! A Jerk Chicken meal starts at only 5.99!
As their name suggests, this is a great place to get Roti. The Curry Chicken Roti was delicious and big enough to serve me for two meals!
With good food and friendly service, this place is worth trying, especially if you like authentic Trinidadian cuisine!
I do not hesitate to name this restaurant as the best Roti restaurant in my list. I never minded driving 30 minutes to pick up Roti from here. More than huge portion, generous price, a very nice owner, and, of course, such mouthwatering foods. I have nothing to discount.
The roti here is very flavourful and bigger than I expected for the price. The staff here are amazing and very friendly. You can tell they make their food with love. The chicken roti I ordered was cooked to perfection and was amazing. I would 100% tell anyone who wants an authentic chicken roti to check this place out!
Went here after a glowing recommendation from a colleague at work. We ordered 2 curry chicken rotis and 2 doubles. Both were incredibly delicious and flavorful. The owner came out to see how everything was, him and his family have a great restaurant. Will definitely be back!
First time having roti ever! A coworker recommended this place since it's close to our work. I ordered the jerk chicken roto lunch special and it was delicious!!! I couldn't even wait to take a picture - it had the right amount of heat and flavour. Maybe a tad bit salty but overall sooo good! Will definitely come back here again. And you can't beat the deal $5.99 lunch special!

When I used to live in Durham this was my go to place for good halal West Indian cuisine. Now that i live closer to the city, I have tried a lot of well established roti places and they're are many excellent establishments, but this spot is the one that's always worth a drive to. The portions are always blessed. The prices are great and most importantly, you can taste the love that is put into the meals they serve you. The boneless jerk chicken with some oxtail gravy hits DIFFERENT
