This past Saturday night we were spoiled at amandalasptbo from the 1st moment we stepped in their doors to the moment we left. Upon entering we were warmly greeted by the owner Amanada and seated. Immediately we felt the lovely ambience, enjoyed some live music and experienced superior customer service from the wait staff. When our food arrived there is no other word to describe our dishes but divine. Everything was cooked to perfection. It is definitely a night we wont forget full of charm and character. A true eclectic dinning experience. We can't wait to be back and highly recommend Amandalas!!! Special thank you to Amanda, Chef Simon Brown and John!
Fashionably late but here goes! Deana and I want to thank Amanda and the entire staff for agreeing to host their first Wedding party and for doing an incredible job with all the details and for being so accommodating to our need for secrecy and a bit of dramatic fun! Yes we surprised our family (18 seated for dinner) and sprung our wedding on them at the table at Amandala's just 2 days before Christmas! Amandala's knew... but very few others did. The food, the wine (OMG the wine!), service and attention to detail were fantastic and we highly recommend you get yourselves in for dinner as soon as you can. What a delicious, flavorful and fresh dinner. I ordered the caesar salad as a starter, and the chicken supreme for my main. My husband ordered the escargot to start and the rack of lamb as his main dish. They were both cooked to perfection, and so much flavor in every bite.
Can't say enough good about Amandalas. Every table has real flowers.
Started with three cheese and onion dip with naan bread. Bread was super soft and dip was hot and full of flavor.
Had the filet, cooked perfectly and off menu shrimp/scallop pasta dish which was unbelievable.
Dessert was chefs special, came flaming and very tasty.
Love their cocktails too. Will be back very soon.
Amazing food, great service, and all around wonderful experience. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. We had appetizers, mains and dessert. Behond happy with each course. Would give more stars if possible.
We went to Amandala' for our 26th anniversary. We are from Mississauga but were staying at a cottage a half a hour away and we found the place through Google. We were very happy that we picked it for our special day. Everyone was very friendly ,informative and their suggestions were spot on. During these difficult times of covid they practiced all the safe measures. The atmosphere was quite, intimate and relaxed. The food was great. The only thing missing was the carrot cake for dessert. They said that they would be happy to make sure it was available for our next visit. I am a fan of carrot cake and they had rave reviews for theirs which I found out was made local. Thank you to everyone for making our anniversary a great one. See you next year.
Visited for a special occasion, the staff was genuinely warm and engaging. Quite frankly they were the perfect precursor for an amazing meal. The four of us shared a paella which was extraordinary as the rice was perfect and flaky and the seafood within the dish was absolutely a perfect along with the sausage. My particular appetizer was a lobster ceviche That was rich and sauces and the flavour of the lemon. The desert which I took home was the most amazing carrot cake. Needless to say the special occasion was a success and a good time was had by all.
Amanda and her staff were fantastic! Very accommodating and friendly! Anya was great as was everyone else who helped make our event special! The food was very good and I definitely would go back and recommend to others!
Spectacular service, quality food and lovely ambiance! My husband and I went there to celebrate his birthday and the staff were warm and welcoming. We ordered the baked brie, the Dijon cream pork tenderloin, and the duck confit, everything was delicious! For dessert we had the Lemon cake and the Caramel apple cheesecake, two more hits! One recommendation would be with the cappuccino, it would be nice for it to arrive with dessert and for it to be stronger also, otherwise an absolutely lovely evening... Thank you!!
Fantastic, friendly service!!! My meal was exceptional, we enjoyed a gorgonzola fondue for an appetizer ( best scallop I have ever had! ) and for our main course we enjoyed the Special that consisted of a pork chop with apple and rum reduction. The meat was tender and flavourful. If your in Peterborough check out this fine restaurant!!!
