The staff were friendly, courteous, and efficient. For lunch, I chose the tuna curry sandwich on multi-grain bread with celery root soup. Everything was excellent. The bread was so good that I bought a whole loaf and had a cheese sandwich for dinner at home--delicious. The croissant that I re-heated for breakfast was rewardingly flaky, buttery, and tender. Highly recommend!
This place is awesome! Excellent service, great prices! And the food options range from creative and adventurous to classic comfort food. But the best part is walking away with freshly baked sourdough bread.

Super friendly local business, warm welcome staffs and chief try their best to make sure all customer walk-in have the same high level services. The ladies assisted me walked through my order and explained to me what the meal will taste like which is very helpful for me as first time customers. Quiet busy shop has ongoing local customers check in to order take out or bread. They did a great job for customized theirs service too! Very pleasant Interaction in the dining time. Highly recommend to visit them! Keep up the good work!
Enjoyed fresh hot potato latkas brought out to the car. Also purchased huge English muffins which toasted up beautifully! Great service, and food made with obvious pride! Visiting again soon!
This place is excellent with friendly service. The pizza with sausage and pesto sauce is one of the best I ever had. The butter tart is unique with croissant bottom. It’s not bad but I prefer the regular butter tart better. I will come back here again whenever I visit Peterborough.
Great service from the chef and staff. The menu is small, but crafted well - and the Fried Chicken sandwich did not disappoint. My partner had the gravlax on a bagel and the pieces were very thick. Really great lunch.

One of the best fried chicken sandwiches I’ve had! Pricey, but perfect crispness, juiciness and flavour. The frittata is also super tasty.
Electric City Bread Company has a very bright and inviting dining area. It has a laid back ambience that is perfect for breakfast and lunch. The service was phenomenal and the food selection was small, but all the options were exceptional. I really enjoyed their squash soup that wasn't cream based! If you're in Peterborough, be sure to check out this gem.
Also, their pastries are top notch. The chocolate croissant I tried was very easily the best croissant I have had in my life. My girlfriend tried the almond croissant, and she even noted that it was better than the croissant in Paris!
As usual roast beef sandwich was amazing....and the corn cheedar bread was out of this world. The sour dough loaf didnt last long....superb!
