Excellent Indian food!

I had the butter chicken, and it was awesome!

I'm not one to judge whether or not it's traditional Indian food, but I've eaten at plenty of Canadian Indian restaurants and this is one of my favourites.

UP - The food here is very good. You get quite a bit as far as I'm concerned and the staff is very friendly.

DOWN - The restaurant is small and can fill up quickly. Wait times can be quite long as well so don't order late.

OUT - A pretty consistent place to get some good Indian grub. Better than the branch in Nanaimo's mall too.

Always great food only thing i wish they had a dish I used to get at dewit in kelowna called popadi chat with yogurt mint chickpeas, those crunchy strip things lol and some kind of brown sauce on it. :)
Really love this place though the servers are always sweet and food the best.

Best Indian food on the island- this location is better than the Amrikko's in Victoria from our experiences at each. We have eaten here many times- love the chana masala, vegetable curry, chicken korma and the giant naan. The prices are wonderful and the spices authentic. If we're heading up island for a trip we often make sure we stop here in the way- kind of random to find such a great Indian place in Parksville, but it's as good as any wonderful Indian place in Vancouver.

Always a favourite. A trip to Parksville would not be complete without a meal at Amrikkos - great indian food and wonderful service, better than many of the indian restaurants where we live and reasonably priced for the quality. We have taken several other couples out for dinner here and we always have a great meal sampling different items from the wide variety offered on the menu.

Great food!. My wife and I have been dining at Amrikko's for the past several years. We have never been disappointed with the service or the food. We have dined at many different Indian restaurants and, while I would not classify the food as "gourmet", it is absolutely excellent for the price. Definitely, give it a try!

Expensive but tasty. Ordered a variety of items and everything was good that we tried. Pretty pricey and very slow service but I would rather wait for good food then have lousy quick food.

Good Food. We ate here a couple of weeks ago and I really enjoyed it. My wife however did not. She had the butter chicken which is her favorite and it came out sweet. This is the way they serve it. I am not sure what region of India this style is native to but I thought it was good. It is very different from the type which is not sweet but still good in its own way. Very creamy. I had the beef and the lamb curry , medium heat. They also were very good. They use tenderloin for the beef and it melted in my mouth. The lamb also was tender and very tasty. I will be back. The server was a very nice young man who was both pleasant and efficient.There was only one other table that day as we were in off peak and in the winter so I do not know how they do when busy but I think it would be OK.
