Wednesday night wings are amazing !! Prices are so low for the amount of wings. I also really enjoy the vibes inside the restaurant. Workers are also very nice and seem to care about the customer. Highly recommended!!

I was staying near the airport, and I found Moose McGuire's on the Zomato app. It was dinner time on a Tuesday, and the restaurant was mostly empty.
After a quick look at the menu, I decided on the Swiss and Mushroom Burger, with a side of Onion Rings. Overall the burger was okay, but I would have preferred that the cheese was melted as the burger was cooked, rather than added on top as the burger was assembled. The onion rings were pretty good.
Service was polite and fast (which was expected when the place was so empty).
This was our second visit. The first was for wing night and wings were fantastic so we came back, this time my husband had the Mexican pizza and I had the fish and chips which were on special 2 large pieces and fries for 10$ The fish was perfectly cooked batter was nice and light not overly oily. My husband liked the pizza - very tasty, but the small was too small in his opinion. Service was good as well, nice big restaurant with patio seating. We will be back for sure.
Unexpectedly consistent food, plus welcoming staff. J'aime le Moose.. So I'm not really a "Moose McGuire" type dude. You wouldn't *think* that I would enjoy a place with a large mammal in its name. But that's the beauty of trying new things. Moose's has thus far impressed me with easygoing, consistently friendly and attentive service, as well as tasty pub-style offerings. Their breakfast, consisting of the usual egg, potatoes, meat and toast combo, is both speedy and affordable, although it'd be nice if the coffee/tea was included. All the components have the right flavours happening, however the potatoes sometimes have a bit too much spice mix on them, which can lead to them becoming overly blackened by the grill. Other than that, no complaints. Solid neighbourhood-large-mammal-pub. (My positive review aside, the crowds of smokers that sometimes flock cancerously outside probably don't help the Moose to attract new patrons. Hopefully it'll last nonetheless.)
We went to wing night tonight ($2.50/lb). The waitress was very new and unfortunately forgot to order our pizza. The manager brought us over 5 beer on the house and the pizza was free. Service was friendly and the waitress was very apologetic. We will definitely return next week for pizza night.
My Favorite Neighborhood Pub!. My favorite place for fish and chips. One of the few places that uses fresh fish (not frozen!) and what a difference that makes. The tacos are amazing too, but only available on Thursdays. Generous portions and great service.
Best burger in Ottawa!. A neighbourhood pub with great food. Everything is made from scratch and is super tasty. I've tried several of the dishes on the menu and they've all been very good. Friendly service, lots of tvs to catch the game, and convenient location.
Can't beat this place for wing night. $2.50 a pound. We have been going regularly on Wednesday's for this. Service is average, atmosphere is average and clean.

Interesting Place. It's a lounge, it's a restaurant, it's a live music venue, it's a sports bar. No, it's Mooooooose McGuire's!!!
How they have managed to make it all these things is beyond me. But do it, they have. At any given moment you can move around the place and the atmosphere changes.
Not the most handicap friendly, but the staff sure do try to accommodate.I have to say the staff make your visit more than just a meal. They are friendly but not intrusive. They have opinions about their favourite choices and are not afraid to tell you.
My dining partners that evening ordered the Fish and Chips, the BBQ Bacon Burger and I had the Beef Dip Sandwich because I had heard it was awesome. They were right.
The burger was hand made on the spot and we were told it would take a few more minutes than the other entrées. Nice touch. It was a towering piece of heaven which included a huge onion ring on it.
The fish (Haddock) was nice and crisp and the fish flaky and not overdone. They have a special cole slaw made with red cabbage that they serve. I sneaked a little taste and it was really good. There was an ingredient in the dressing that I couldn't quite put my finger on, but it "made" the slaw. Not your standard side dish afterthought.
The Beef Dip came and was a little larger than I anticipated. Filled with shaved melt-in-your-mouth beef. The Dip was flavourful and not too greasy. Perfect for dipping.
2 out of 3 of us loved the fries; the one is particularly fussy about her food. But she loved the fish and the cole slaw, which is saying something.
One should note that their coffee is exceptionally strong. Great for those of us that like it that way.
All in all we will be going back. There is enough on their menu to keep me happily trying their fare for quite some time.
I will say the renovations look great from the change over from Wild Wings. Also the food I have had so far is delicious! The Beef dip is by far my favourite item, closely followed with their ceasar salad with Steak. The fries look hand cut and and well seasoned, and the ceasar dressing seems to be made in house. This local pub has a lot to offer!
