Great food, low prices and quick service. Came here on a Friday evening and it was pretty empty even though my family had reservations for 10 people. (I'm not surprised it was empty now, seeing the negative reviews below). However, from my experience I find the food to be pretty good - doesn't compare to my favourite places but it's still good Chinese food. Service is quick and the price is very reasonable!
Good as usual. My family and I are regulars at New Hong Shing, before and after the ownership change. I'd say food is still very good and so is service. Of course Michael used to know my kids' names. That kind of personal touch is very hard to come by.
We went there again tonight and were not disappointed. Food was ready very quickly, too.
The only complain is their price has increased. But then again everything else has increased in price.
Even with new owners..not disappointing at all. And..great bubble tea. Still so flavourful and a cheap eat. General Tao still delicious. Good lunch specials.

Our favorite restaurant just got better!. We go to this restaurant every month or two. We were surprised to learn that the ownership had been changed when we went there last weekend.
We were all skeptical at first, but ordered our usual food any ways. Then the food came out fast, which was a good sign as we had to wait a LONG time for our dishes before. All 5 of us agreed that the food got even better than before. It was less greasy and tasted real good. We all enjoyed the Salt and Pepper Pork Chops. Its was prepared a little different than before, but in a good way. One of our favorite dishes, the Cantonese Noodles, tasted pretty much the same as before, but there was more meat and seafood in it.
The even better part about this New New Hong Shing is the new owner renovated the place. The dining room is brighter and the washrooms are both nice and clean! If you've been there before, you know how horrible those washrooms were.
This is definetely still our favorite restaurant, and we'll go back for more excellent Chinese food.
Really good AUTHENTIC Chinese food. The best General Tso's chicken in the city!!!!
I have been going to this restaurant for more than 10 years now. Love the food! The atmosphere could use a little work but the food is excellent!
