Filled up all the way:). This is a very busy location, considering the fact that 1) It's in Chapters and 2) It's in Chapters located on Rideau Street. My experience overall has been positive - the staff despite their business remain cheerful and friendly and my iced tea lemonades are filled all the way to the top - great for the $3 I pay for a tall.
Today I stopped off for a little coffee and browsing in downtown Ottawa at Starbucks ( 47 Rideau Street, Ottawa ). Browsing? This Starbucks is located within a large Chapters bookstore . Thus, an added bonus to this location is after obtaining your favourite Starbucks beverage of choice is to browse the literary (and non literary) offerings of Chapters. Today I entered the location via the bookstore entrance to find a moderate line in length. A short wait and I was up to the cashier. I have been to this location a couple of times over the past week to sometimes find a moderate line or no line at all. One time I found a moderate line and one of the Baristas adjusting the products on the shelves on the customer side of the counter pretending not to notice the line. Like really There is a line here, why not help your coworkers work the line and then adjust the product. It is maddening at coffee shops really when this happens. My daughter adores this location, and although I am not a coffee drinker, I too enjoyed coming here with her. The staff are super friendly and service is always prompt. Well ventilated location so you are NOT overwhelmed with a nasty combination of stale air and super strong coffee!! It's Starbucks - the prices are what they are - it's branded!! It is also an excellent stocking stuffer idea - Starbucks gift card! #localguide
This is an excellent spot to read a book, journal, drink some tea, self reflect and people watch. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and know how to handle the Dynamics of the Rideau crowd. God bless their hearts since they have to deal with the good, bad and ugly.
It's goes well with chapters since you can read a freshly bought book and chill. It's what I'm doing now.
This is a nice cozy Starbucks. Could use more outlets for charging of devices but as for the service provided it's fantastic. Exactly what you look for in a coffee shop.
I have never had a more pleasurable experience at Starbucks. Victoria and Kyla were the best baristas. They were extremely helpful and kind and made my night so much better. Both ladies are capable of handling rushes and the busy location without missing a beat. Their recommendations were deeply appreciated and I couldn't imagine getting better service somewhere else.
I had a great service. I had a new young lady serving me. I forgot to say I wanted to refill my card before placing my order. So it was something new for her to refill after the order was placed. She was very polite and apologized and let me know she was new I didn't mind and told her not to worry we've all been new at one point.
Very nice and clean! The people that served me were very kind and made my free birthday drink very special! If I ever need a coffee downtown, or just when I want to brows books I'll be sure to stop by again!
My husband had his book launch at Chapters Rideau and we ordered coffee from this Starbucks and they were just fantastic. Gillian the shift manager, Laura and Nikki were very helpful and most professional. Gillian gave great advice about the coffee and chose a blend only available in Canada and offered us free samples of cookies to give out. If I needed coffee for another event I would definitely order from here.
Wow! Just wow. This morning I came in to get a short decaf, my entire day almost fell apart when I was told they didn't brew decaf. But when the friendly staff offered me a pour over and even took the time to tell me about their espresso I walked away feeling so overjoyed. I even came back after work to thank them and buy another coffee. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was overcome with a smile all day long. Would 10/10 recommend this store. Great staff, always smiling and willing to answer all my questions! I will be back tomorrow and the next day too!
Located inside with Chapters makes it easy to browse books while sipping coffee. Conveniently located on the corner so it's easy to access via OCtranspo or after leaving the mall. Nice meeting spot!
So just had my first holiday turkey and stuffing panini!!! Yummy love this sandwich. Christmas on a bun :) :)
Now if you can bring back the latte macchiato in store and on the app my world will be back on track lol :) :)
