I love this place. Tried the new dairy free butter tart this weekend. Whoa. Not too sweet. Delicious pastry like all their pies. Dedicated gluten free places are tough to find and these guys are top notch! very reasonable prices for the upscale food you get here.
I absolutely love the things I've gotten so far from this place! The food (I've had four cupcakes, the chickpea-base pizza crust, the caramel slice and the donut muffin) is great! It is on the pricier side, so prepare to spend a lot more than you usually would. The red velvet is my fav :p I got the two pizza crusts (they come together for $14) and both were ripped and/or cracked. Otherwise, it was nice-tasting.
Yummy!. My wife having been diagnosed with a gluten intolerance this summer, we have had our share of trials of gluten-free bakeries and items. Joy of Gluten Free provided us with some of the best desert we EVER had. Not only where they tasting good for gluten free options but they could easily rival any baked goods.
The place is a relaxed environment, you have time to browse, and the owner did come talk to us a few times while keeping herself busy behind her counters. Service was friendly, and while the place was empty of customers at the time of visit, everything in the bakery looked and smelled freshly baked, the kitchen was busy and the smell was.. ENTICING!
I would highly recommend this bakery to anyone, not just gluten intolerants. As for the other negative reviews, take them with a grain of salt; enjoy the sights and smells of the bakery, take your time to discover the various options and your tastebuds will thank you!

Amazing products and even better people!. My mom has Celiac disease and since Joy of Gluten Free has opened, she has been delighted by the selection of sweet and savory goods at her fingertips! On the rare occasion mom will let us gluten eaters sample the goods and everything is simply fantastic - fresh, tasty, and definitely not lacking in anything! I have ordered a few cakes for mom and all have been delicious and beautiful :) They are great to make custom cakes set exactly to what we are looking for. Susan and her crew are super friendly people and are always so nice to talk to every time we visit the bakery.
Mom loves going to Joy of Gluten Free because she knows that she will always enjoy whatever she purchases AND she will never have to question if it will be contaminated. She loves that she can just go in and choose whatever she wants :) Thank you, thank you, thank you for having a completely GF bakery :)
Some of mom's favourite items: marzipan bar (top item!), donut muffin, butter tart, waffles, mock rye bread (mmmm great with spinach dip!)...this list could go on forever!!

AMAZING GF Bakery!. I have been to the Joy of Gluten Free many times and all I can say is WOW! The selection of gluen-free goodies is outstanding and makes it hard to decide which ones to choose from. The owner is a friendly, hard working woman who puts love & care into each yummy item she bakes. When I read some of the negative reviews previously posted, I can't help to ask if they are talking about the same bakery!?! I am always greated with a smile when I visit the bakery, and if the owner is not busy in the back baking to keep up with her high level of supply & demand, she comes out to chat and pleasantly answers any questions I have. There are often free samples on the counter to try and taste items before purchasing, and I have even been sent home with mini bread samples to see which ones I prefer. I have been gluten free for 13 years and have never tasted bread so light and fluffy! Yes...you can get cheaper gluten free options in the big boxed stores...but most are full of preservatives and nowhere near as fresh as what you can find at the Joy of Gluten Free. All this to say I have been VERY happy with my experiences at the bakery & will continue to be a repeat customer!
Love it! Awesome gluten free pastries and breads. Had my first real gluten free cake for my birthday and it was delicious. The marsipan bars are amazing!!! I have told my whole family who now often stop your shop to buy stuff.
Love this place. Was amazed to find so many delicious creations. Some of my favs are their fluffy bread, nanaimo bars,cupcakes (the list could go on). Keep up the great work!!
If you want great tasting baked goods and breads, you must stop in at The Joy of Gluten Free Bakery. The recipes Susan has developed will satisfy your cravings. And you don't have to be Celiac to love them.
This is my go-to spot for a sweet GF treat! Love the range of fresh-baked items and the great service. This is a must-see for anyone going gluten-free!
Amazing.. I'm just in love with their bread. I've never tasted bread so great. I can't believe it's gluten free. My number one place to shop gluten free. And there so many other tasty treats. Two thumbs up.
