Love this place! My girlfriend and I go every weekend for the amazing food, great staff and service. Clyde Avenue Denny's is the best.
Best breakfast I ever had!!!! Server was friendly, food was great. Salted Caramel Banana Pancakes were the best thing I've ever ever ever had for breakfast!!
Open 24hrs 7 days a week. Closed on certain holidays.
Out of all the places close by tutti fruitti and coras I have to say Dennys is the only place where the breakfast eggs are good. They have stayed consistent with the breakfast. The omlettes are stuffed and fluffy. The house potatoes are delicious too.
Milkshakes: strawberry and cake batter was good. A little too sweet but still good.
Lava cake: warm chocolate cake with cold vanilla ice cream. The perfect pairing.
This located could use a little uplift. It looks run down and old.
The staff was great! They kept checking on us to make sure everything was fine.
Amazing food, always served quickly. You get a lot of food for what you pay for. Have never had an issue with service and everything tastes great!
I went with my friends for Brunch on a Saturday morning last month. The atmosphere here is great. The service is not bad. The quantity of food is really great. We had ordered cinnamon pancakes, Veggie skillet, pancake puppies and some more items. The taste was really good. Overall, it was a good experience and I would love to visit it again.
Denny's has a few things going for it. For starters, they have a huge menu, and I'm sure they would make you just about anything you ask for (assuming they have the ingredients) if you have a special, off menu request.
Their breakfasts are pretty good. I usually get the lumberjack slam, because for the extra cost over a regular grand slam, or a build your own grand slam, it is way better bang for your buck. Personally, I love their whole-wheat pancakes. I just like the texture. I get weird looks when I order a lumberjack slam, ask for all bacon, but whole wheat pancakes. A server once made a comment about it being like going to Wendy's, getting their triple burger, super sizing the combo, but getting a diet coke because you're "watching your weight". I told them I just like the taste better. Its a greasy breakfast, but it is quite a bit of food. Their coffee is average. They do add interesting items to their breakfast menu too. Adding pecans to their pancakes really makes them extra-good.
For dinners, I have found them "adequate" at best. I don't usually bother. When they had their bacon menu, I tried their bacon meatloaf. It wasn't anything special, by any means.
Personally I only bother going for breakfast. All day breakfast is a plus, too. Being open 24 hours is nice too. The thing I find weird about that, however, is open 24/7...except holidays.
Service really varies depending on which server you get. Some are really good. Some are average. Some leave something to be desired.
Their pricing is a little high for what it is. But what can I say, I love pancakes. I was actually a regular at one point. The owner was very nice. Came over and offered us free hockey tickets for being loyal customers.
I'm sure I'll be back, though I don't live in the area anymore. I recommend it, but adjust expectations accordingly, and stick to breakfast.
Mediocre. I found the quality of the food here at this Denny's to be okay at best. I much rather prefer the American locations that I've been to over this one. Tried the Santa Fe Sizzler - looked really appealing on the menu but was just OK. The way they described it, I thought it would have more flavour and spice than it actually did but it ended up being quite bland. It wasn't horrible though, and ended up being pretty filling for only $10.
Food was good, and quick considering a busy Sunday morning. Service was great and everybody was friendly...recommended for a nice and fair-priced meal.
