Good service and friendly staff I'd recommend this place
Great food. Better than the neighboring pubs. Servers are excellent.
If you are looking for a good clean place to eat, this is the spot for you. From the friendly and pleasant server, Victoria, to the variety of menu options, (even for a vegetarian), including a large selection of beer, you will not be disappointed. The food was served warm and was perfectly cooked to my specification. Don't forget to order the poutine---delicious!!
A 1970's/80's style pub.. An interesting place with an aged motif. A hang out for some journalists and the political types from the Hill on some evenings, it is a more relaxed place than some of the higher placed pubs along Sparks street. The food is typical, no better or worse than a host of other pubs around town, whom all probably share the same small circle of suppliers. Where do places actually make meals from scratch anymore? I've been here many a time and found the service to be fast and efficient, the only time things slow down is during the Summer when the patio is in full force, when more staff would be helpful for the after work rush. If you want fancy, go across the street to the Trois Brasseurs, though service there can be even slower and more impersonal.
Food OK, poor service. One waitress working during busy lunch hour equals a very long wait to get served drinks, to order food, to receive food, to receive bill and to pay bill. Won't go back if I am in a time crunch!
