Excellent food. Lovely view of the Byward Market and the fireplace makes it extra cozy on a cold day. Our server, Julia, was very friendly and often came by to check if there was anything we needed. She couldn't have possibly done anything better. The cook did an excellent job on the mussels. You can't go wrong with the all you can eat mussels. They were delicious. I really loved the spicy tomato creole sauce on the mussels and it was a great dip for the french fries. :) Kudos to the chef and our server for making this a fantastic visit for my daughter and I.
Great food and excellent service. Sarah our server was so accommodating. There was a mix up in which restaurant we had reserved. We were seated downstairs at The Fish Market but the Groupon was for Coasters. So Sarah allowed us to order from either menu. Thanks Sarah!
I love this place for the fresh seafood! A great place for dinner with friends. I had the fish taco. Although it doesn't look it but it is quite filling. Delicious and fresh! The view down the market is also very nice.
BEST VIEW OF THE MARKET! GREAT FOOD! UNREAL SERVICE. One of the best places in the market to stop by for a cheap beer, quick app, or a full coarse meal. Service is prompt and very friendly. I absolutely love Coasters :)
Friendly & Tasty. We went with our two little kids and had a really nice time. The servers were very friendly, the food was tasty and it's in a great location. The pulled pork sandwich is very nice.
Cozy atmosphere. Had a groupon for sandwiches/beer. The pulled pork sandwich was delish- my boyfriend said the same about the burger. The sweet potatoes fries were so so so good!!! (And wine was pretty cheap!) only negative was the service was a bit slow. We'll be back for sure!
Simply nice and cozy. We came here thanks to ottawakiosk.com discount offer and we took the dine for two for only $29. My bf took a steak and I took a fish & chips while our friend took a lobster cheese sandwich: all sizzling, although the service was long and the french fries were ordinary.
Luxury food in casual atmosphere. It's located in 2nd floor on The Fish Market restaurant in Byward market. Ive been there for A.Y.C.E mussels couple of times then, I heard about new menu. It's gourmet grill now which makes so much sense with the restaurant decor.
I had fish taco as server's recommandation, and I was surprised by presentation as well as flavour! presentation is like one of those food network tv show chef's plate and there were so much flavour which makes total sense from the first bite. Compliment to Chef.
I can't wait to try especially gourmet burger looks really tall and amazing.
Great Meal!. Went in for a burger and a beer. One of the best burgers in the market. Good prices with a smiling server. Will be back soon with more friends.
Amazing!. Went to Coasters for the first time and LOVED it! The sevice was amazing and the Goat Cheese and Arugala salad was to die for!
New Menu?!. Holy sandwiches!
I came to Coasters for my regular All You Can Eat mussel fix (delicious), and to my surprise, the menu had changed! It's actually a cool little menu. I skipped the mussels this time to try some of the new goodies, as did my girlfriend.
Lauren, our server, recommended the smoked chicken poutine and the fish tacos. We had them both (Thanks Lauren!) They were absolutely delicious, as was the lobster grilled cheese. A nice bottle of white rounded out the meal, lol.
Well, I would recommend going and checking this out, it's definitely something different in the Market. I will be back for sure!
All you can eat mussels (and fries) were great. Service was a bit slow but the muscles made up for it.
