We go here pretty often, as we find it's consistently decent food, and servers always seem to be sweet people. No, it's not "authentic" in any way, but it's well done for what it is. Prices are okay, generally on the lower end of typical Ottawa prices I'd say.
I have been going here for years and the service is always good. Everyone is always very professional and the food is constantly good. Would like a little more variety on the menu for appetizers but over all very tasty and one of the better locations for barrhaven for a date spot or something quite.
Great service and excellent PHO. We really enjoyed our Pad Thai and PHO. It is our second time ordering take out and it has been consistent and very tasty. We'll be back.
Price good, food okay. I just went there tonight, and was pleasantly surprised by the food and pricing. It is certainly no El Indio but definitely worth trying if you enjoy slightly above mediocre Thai food.
Three times in the last month. Amazing food. Have tried the Black Bean, Vermicelli and the chow mien..all fantastic. There spring rolls are better than most. The service has been excellent as well. You will not be disappointed!!
Wow!. I went here with a friend based on the reviews of others and was not disappointed! The presentation, service, decor, cleanliness, friendliness of staff were all top notch. But none of that mattered once I got my food.
The rice paper rolls were very generous for $5 (see pic). Fresh, flavourful and plentiful, and the peanut sauce that came with it had a hint of roasting. The plate had a flower like decoration on it using oils.... nice touch. Did I mention they were tasty?
Then came the Pad Thai. First I should note they let you select your spiciness level... 1 - 10 with 3 being the 'default'. I went for 10 and it was spicy but not too spicy in my opinion. It was very flavourful, and the chicken in it was cooked just right, and there was plenty of it. The serving size looked small at first but it was piled high and there's more food there than there first appears to be. Lots of fresh sprouts, and julienned vegetables on top too. Very very tasty.
I am definitely going back... can't wait to try the Thai Curry!
Dessert was Turtle Cheesecake... imported from elsewhere but definitely worth the $8
This is my favourite restaurant in the city. My favourite meal on the menu is the Thai curry. However, I have tried the the pad Thai, Cantonese chow mein, ginger, lemon grass and sushi and they are all delicious too. The service is very good and most of the servers know our order, spicy preference and food allergies by memory. They have a great lunch special too with the same dinner sized portions. Try this place, you will not be disappointed!
Love it!. This place rocks... might be my favourite restaurant in Ottawa. Pho/hu tieu for cold or sick days, pretty much the only non-ketchupy pad thai in town, and I really can't say enough good things about their ginger and lemongrass chicken. They have ridiculously huge portions at great prices and it feels trendy without sacrificing good food or overcharging.
Amazing food, Great Service. I went here for dinner last night for the first time and was surprised to see that it was FULL on a Thursday night. Although the wait wasn't as long! The staff are super nice and courteous. The food was amazing! The best thing was that you could choose the level of spiciness in your food. The presentation of the food was great. Would definitely recommend it to all and would definitely visit often.
Great food and atmosophere for a restaurant thats in a market dominated by crappy chain restaurants and stale pub food.. A+
